Used to love going to that but last few times all that was available was outfits in xxl, not for me. Not footballs or anything I could use. Hope will be different this year.

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOMEEEEEEED!!! Why must they always feed into the preseason hype? I'm in my normal spring doldrums because I know next season will be slightly better than this one...maybe 2-3 more wins than this year. Then these idiots come on then I get excited for about 15 seconds until I realized I'm being played YET AGAIN. Why can't they just pick on someone else?
 
Yeah I could get on board with 11-1 if:
1. Either QB had played meaningful snaps and showed something special
2. The OL had shown something (anything) to this point
3. We had any pass rush to speak of
4. We had anyone who could play LB
5. We could stop the run

But since we haven't seen any of those factors, I'm thinking a safe "7-5" prediction should be the norm, not the outlier.

Now, if the season plays out the way some of these pundits think, with improved OL play and a non-porous D, then I could get excited.

Basically, the best predictor for going 12-1 is going 11-2 the prior year and having almost everyone back, including a Heisman favorite.
 
Sorry if its been posted already, but, apparently Jalon Gibeau was arrested today for trying to flee a traffic stop. Texas Penal Code 38.04

Cop tried to pull him over for speeding and he just floored it. Hearing that its a felony charge.

I'd say he's probably done at UT.
 
Anybody know where the incident occurred? If he was running from Bridge City police trying to get over the bridge, I'll be a little less critical. If he was running from Lumberton to get to Beaumont, I'll excuse him. If he was in Port Arthur or Austin, different story. So, I'll wait and see what the facts are.

Been celebrating all afternoon. Getting rid of Bowelsby and "Imaginary" Emmert in the same year?

Looking for the Big XII to bring in the commissioner of the Snake River Juco Conference to replace Bowesby, but the NCAA will swing for the fence - probably go after Ken Starr or Ian McCaw to replace Emmert.

First stud athlete I ever witnessed. Amazing to watch in high school. He could have gone to UT but wanted to stay home near the small German farming community of Wall, TX. RIP Clayton :hookem:…

Expect some of these names to go by the wayside. Kelvontay Dixon, Ishmael Ibrahim, Prince Dorbah, Sawyer Goram-Welch, Isaiah Hookfin, Max Merril.
 
Of that group, Dorbah and Dixon would have played. Hookfin should be a medical hardship. Ishmael had some trouble, the other 2 OL’s will be passed when the freshman OL’s show up.
Good luck to all that need playing time some other place.
I wonder if QB Wright will stick?
