Why is ANYBODY still a fan of Jerry's pathetic franchise?

Because they are Americas Team!!! NOT and havent been in years and years except in the minds of Jerry's group. Sanders would be a horrible hire for many reasons but his ego and that of Jones would be more than I could stand. I watch them some but have lost my appeal. It's all about his powere and his money.....his cameo apperance on 'Landman', a joke!!

According to OTF, things are trending in the right direction to retain DE Trey Moore.

Not at the finish line, but "close."

Spent many hours and dollars in that store. Rooster was also a great kicker in his time I recall?

In 1990 I got my very first UT hat and t-shirt at Rooster Andrews. From that year on we stopped in there before the first game every year to stock up on the Longhorn apparel that we were going to wear during the season. We did that every year until the store closed. That was a sad day when I found out.

We probably crossed paths as that's what I was doing, and when I was doing it, as well!

From my birth in 1960 through 1984 (UT Math BS and Law JD) when I left for 12 years to “see the world,” and then from 1996 to 2025, I have lived in Austin. These days, finding someone who would know of Rooster Andrews Sporting Goods is rare as a hen’s tooth. I moved out to Round Rock this year, and people who say they are Austinites have never heard of Tarrytown or Shoal Creek or Northwest Hills.

I can still remember Rooster Andrews being the “new” sporting goods store in town, but as for his football exploits, I had to rely on my father’s stories. Seems like they let him throw a pass at QB once for laughs (maybe a TD was the story?), but anyway, he was about 5’3” with red hair as I recall.

Good to hear of others who remember Austin of old.
