I would agree with most of what he said but I would say this.
1. we didn't lose a war or get defeated militarily. we didn't have military goals. we had political goals. that is typically the issue. our objective evolved from retribution and destruction of capacity, to cultural change. retribution, destruction, degradation...those can be done with power. Cultural change....can be aided with power but ultimately the only way to change culture is TIME...and lots of it. Something we are piss poor at.
2. no society is homogenous. There are/were AFG people that wanted what we had to offer but they were not the majority. The way to approach this is to start a "Hong Kong of AFG" and let the people choose to come to you, rather than trying to impose your rules on their pre-existing structures and institutions. We were battling existing leaders and that meant they were losing power and influence. Of course they are going to resist this. We tried to buy their love with water wells and other small projects, but that was just silly.
I used to sit in on lots of interrogations and sat right next to the guy that wrote that "State of the Taliban" report that got leaked in 2011. Almost to the man, they would all say the same thing. "All we have to do is wait you out." They mostly lived in shacks anyway so the difference between with the US, and without the US wasn't that significant to most of them on a daily basis.

Gabbard went on to accuse Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of boldly lying to Congress.
She said, "The Department of Homeland Security secretary recently told Congress: ‘Our borders are secure.’ This is what he said."
Gabbard argued that when "bold-faced" lies like that are being told to the American public, they lose trust in their government and leaders.
"The faith and trust that the American people need to have in our leaders is dropping every day," she said.
Gabbard said lies to the American people reveal "the arrogance and the self-serving nature of leaders who are in power in this country and the disrespect that they have for the American people and it's why people are losing faith and trust in those leaders."
"And that's the problem here is we don't have leaders who … put themselves ahead of the interests of the people," she said.

Not sure the Mike Flynn interview will work on you tube. They took it down. Very revealing interview. The Deep State is a second Gov that is unelected inside Washington DC. They removed Flynn, then they helped steal the election. They’re all comprised. Flynn says by China. I agree with him!

Biden has endorsed his budget plan, and Schumer made him chairman of the Senate Budget Committee. He may have lost the battle, but within the party, he's clearly winning the war. They are becoming more like him than the other way around.
Snippet of Pelosi this morning saying that we don't need to know what is in the $3.5T boondoggle in order to support it...in other words, it is Obummercare 2.0 where "we have to pass it to know what is in it" which ALSO means it will cost far more than the Demonrats lie and attempt to claim.
This smacks of a woman who doesn't smoke or drink while she's pregnant just in case she doesn't kill her baby.
You know how to lower it? PRODUCE MORE OF IT. We need it too.

There are also subsidies and grid regulation that incentivize unreliables. They are by themselves pushing oil and gas exploration into a corner. Need to remove all subsidies from the energy industry and see who flourishes.
