President Biden Accountability Thread

It's amazing to me that people who seem intelligent are surprised that things like PR, perception, rhetoric, branding, etc. make a difference. You see that people will pay good money for cheap redneck beer because they had skanks in bikinis in their commercials, but you don't see how acting like an incompetent jackass might negatively impact how people vote.

It's interesting that some would rather lose than give up the mean tweets.

Simple solution. Vote for the jackass that gave us our best economy over a 50 year period. Not the jackass with dementia who calls people fat and challenges fellow seniors to a push up contest, calls women lying dog faced pony soldiers

Fk man, give me a break on this ****

The jackass with dementia can look and act like an adult when he needs to.

Mr D
Can you honestly say having Biden in the WH is better for America than the perception some have that the tweets were more important?

No. If I thought so, I would have voted for Biden. (Remember, I ultimately voted for Trump.) You're blurring what's good for America with what's smart political strategy.

Like saying he'd like to take Trump behind the woodshed? Said it with his frail body swaying side to side trying to stay balanced

"That's Gold Jerry, pure gold"

He has his share of jackassery, but it's all relative. I know some pretty dumb people, but put them in Oklahoma, and they start looking pretty smart.

My 4 year quest is affirmed. I won the battle but lost the war.

Is he EVER going to BEGIN adulting and put forth policy that is worth a damn?

No, but he can personally behave and look like one when he needs to. That's my only point here. This is mostly about optics, not substance, and though the media hypes it up, it is ultimately self-inflicted. That's what's so frustrating about this. But there's a substantial base of Republican primary voters who like it.

It's like having a lawyer who insists on using foul language and scratching his *** in the courtroom. A third of potential jurors might like it, but if he needs a 10-2 or unanimous verdict to win, he's not going to win often. In 2016, he was up against another lawyer who used foul language, scratched her ***, and farted audibly in the courtroom. He also did a really good voir dire with lots of successful challenges for cause, so he was able to get a jury with more people that like his style. Accordingly, he got lucky and won. In 2020, he was up against one who only scratched his *** and did it less often and got a jury that really hated the foul language, so he lost.

He can't even read the teleprompter w/o fking up half the time. Seriously, WTH are you talking about? "When he needs to". He's POTUS. It's not some part time job where he can be ON 1/3rd of the time.

I didn't include your 2nd paragraph above. Has zero to do with the subject

Reading the teleprompter incorrectly isn't what turns swing voters off. Intentionally antagonizing people and publicly fighting with your own Administration for no reason does.

It's not a part-time job, but some situations matter more than others.

It's an analogy.

Do you want a guy that can look and act like an adult if you need heart surgery or the ******* who can do it successfully? I’m sorry but the “at least he doesn’t mean tweet” crowd is embarrassingly dumb.

If A24 is everything he says he is, I’d take him over Dr. Jill Biden.

I'm not hiring a heart surgeon. I'm hiring a politician, and in politics, assholicness has real consequences. Personally, I don't care about the mean tweets, and I never followed Trump on Twitter. The big difference between me and others here is that I recognize that the "mean tweets" have real consequences, not that they personally upset me.

I look at it from a different perspective. You don't care about the tweets, so you think no one else should. I don't care about them, so I question why not give them up so we don't have to pay the political price for something we don't care about.

So that is an example of looking and acting like an adult in and of itself?

It's an example of looking more like one than Trump did. Again, I'm talking about optics here. They matter in politics.

It's a little like Ted Cruz running off to Mexico in the middle of the power outages. I personally didn't care, because I know there wasn't anything Ted Cruz could actually do to get the power restored. But was it an unforced political error? Yes.

Politicians like Biden are why we as a country are is big trouble. He is corrupt and does not mind destroying the country as long as he and his partners get rewarded. I cannot believe you do not see that. 10% for the big guy is much worse than mean tweets.

Come on man. That's just stupid fodder for people with the brains of an amoeba.

WTF
If true Biden etc should be shot
I just heard We USA that Trump took to the largest Exporter of oil in the world
We in March imported over a million barrels from f'nk IRAN..

Well yeah. I'm not gonna just go with it because there's idiots out there though.

Just go with what? Not putting an ******* on the ticket? Why? It's such an easy thing to compromise on if your priorities are straight.

What you're saying sounds very righteous, but think about what it really means. You're elevating someone's personality preferences over policy preferences. Someone could say, "I'm a fiscal and social conservative but I'm not comfortable with this foul-mouthed orange guy who says stupid things." You'll say, "then screw off. You have to like the foul-mouthed orange guy who says stupid things."

I know exactly what you're thinking. You're thinking, "they're the ones elevating personality over policy. I'm the real conservative, and I don't sell out on policy or to stupid people." But is that really true? To build the Trump coalition, we had to give up entitlement reform. It's the biggest fiscal concession in the history of American politics.

And you don't play ball with idiots? In 2016, Trump actively built an electoral coalition with Alex Fuckin' Jones and his audience. You don't think there are plenty of idiots in that audience? We gave up entitlement reform and the suburbs (who are people that regularly vote) to build a coalition with this guys like this. He loves entitlements and doesn't care about the deficit and seldom votes, but he likes the orange guy. But we don't sell out to idiots.

Yes there are idiots in the Alex Jones world, but if we are talking strictly policy and the outcomes of said policies, there's zero question as to results of Mr Cheetohead versus Mr Dementiabrain.
