Yeah, that's from long ago but the human mind is a fragile thing. And I for one can't say how I would react. I probably wouldn't like it. Would I say that's in the past and it's no longer a problem? I would hope I would know the difference between the Jim Crow era and today. But they are in a transitory moment of their history and feel, right or wrong, that we have more work to do.

I'm sure if we dig long enough and far enough back, there will be a case or three, but they are not something statistically significant enough for there to be a narrative of fear in this day and age...

Black people aren't the only ones profiled, by. The way Austin PD treated me as a student in 74, 75 was far different than I was treated as an Airman at BAFB in the late 70s. Far different. BAFB personnel were targeted and profiled. I get tired of hearing this stuff, because it doesn't happen to just one group of folks

I'd like to see how many African Americans were harassed by the IRS vs conservatives/ Tea Party members during the Obama administration. That would quiet a lot of this nonsense

bystander, your anecdotal evidence from your friends is useless when talking policy. Statistics are useful. I've had some uncomfortable moments with the police, especially in Kinney county where they are outright crooks. However, that is not representative of the whole. The sample size is too small.
 
WHY do they feel unsafe if they pull over and obey the instructions of the LEO?

Just to say they worry about getting shot by police is BS and it is wrong of black parents to scare their kids that way
Show us stats on police shooting black motorists who have pulled over and are complying.
 
Cultural memory is a real thing. when we first went to AFG villages, there were many Afghans that lumped us in with the other white face invaders from Russia.

But today is vastly different than 1960 and world's different than "400 years ago". IMO, many black people are just as guilty of confirmation bias as the rest of us and when they enter a LEO situation, they are looking for the race element and will cling to any small slight as support for their "driving while black" logic. I'm not saying 'get over it', I'm certainly not saying forgive and forget, but I am saying that if you go looking for "micro aggressions" you are going to find "micro aggressions". Too often the black community is allowed to justify their current behavior based on centuries old events. And while there are lots and lots of heinous examples from the past, today's reality is starkly different and having a perpetual cultural "chip on your shoulder" is going to keep you from seeing that.

Is there data that shows as By suggested that blacks are afraid in a traffic stop, if the blacks follow the instructions of the Leos they are being killed anyway?

K Harris is truly one of the worst politicians I've seen in 40 years of following it. As I said before, she wouldn't be able to win a competitive city council race in some bedroom community.

She had sex with the CA power broker of politics to get installed as Attorney General, then was picked to get the Democrat nomination based on her skin color and her needing to sit down to take a piss. Same "qualifications" allowed her to be selected as VP for Depends.

The Democrats are in a bind. Their president is a senile old fool, who gets angry when questioned, and who's one hard question from a black conservative away from saying the dreaded N-world in public, along with the word "dirty" in front of it.

His VP is dumb, lazy, a terrible politician, and is neither liked or feared by anyone, along with a popularity rating below the freezing point of water.

Gonna be a long 2-1/2 years for them till 24, then what? No way Depends runs again, and VP BJ has to get the nomination or half the party will revolt, blaming sexualism and racalism for the reason, instead of her just being horrid. Good times.
