Well since they’re not Trumpers they are vaccinated so there’s a 99.7% chance they’re safe.

What a coincidence...that is almost the same chance as those who aren't vaccinated. More people are dying of the vaccine than the sniffles if you believe the official data...

That's a good thing though right? It shows that those who took the risk had to live with the consequences. It shows that vaccinated people are suffering at the hands of us. I might have got covid in May. My daughter was sick with a fever and I didn't feel good for a week. But if I get it in the future and it is a serious case. That's on me. I'm good with it. Why is that bad?

Because these variants are continuing to grow. We could have stopped this thing in its tracks. We chose not to.

Several points here that show this is a bad take.
First, the best way to stop variants is to deal with the virus quickly. The Lockdowns in early 2020 extended the time the virus had to evolve. If we would have protected those at risk and let the rest of us get hit all at once, late 2020 and even now would be much different.
Second, that probably doesn't work completely anyway. Virus's evolve to survive. They do it very fast. We all have corona viruses living in us whose ancestors killed humans. The variants are better at surviving in humans and less deadly to humans. Look at the curves comparing cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. They are all really really small first of all. But also so far the serious cases are much less proportionally than before. This virus is becoming endemic.
Third, the vaccines aren't doing that great of job. I saw a graph showing in the UK the # of delta variant cases are higher in vaccinated than unvaccinated people now.
This isn't something "we" simply "decide". The truth is that we can't sacrifice today for tomorrow. Because without today there is no tomorrow. Today always has threats and risks. Go live.
I don't think they're doing well on the optics and messaging. This idea that they're righteously sacrificing just looks stupid. You simply can't fly on a private jet and use that kind of rhetoric. Personally, I don't care that they didn't wear masks, but if your side tends to lecture people about wearing masks, you look terrible if several of you are crammed into a plane unmasked, especially when the rest of the public including small children have to wear them on planes.
And the lesbian wedding delay and the washing clothes by hand just doesn't arouse much sympathy when these people are cruising around DC, hanging out with big shots, and being treated like heroes by the media. The whole thing looks very contrived and phony.
GTFOH with 'wave.' You and your ilk are all about the fear-mongering. If it was truly a 'wave' then where are the bodies?
As people have been saying for months on end now, cases DO NOT MATTER! Texas is still in low numbers for the past several months, and looking back at my daily notes, I have to go back almost three months to even find a day where we had more than 70 fatalities.
According to people like you, bodies should be stacked up like cordwood. They aren't.

Interesting tidbit given how much gets placed at the feet of the office-holder...there were roughly 400K bodies attributed to the sniffles when Biden took office. That means he has had some 200K in roughly six months DESPITE having the vaccines handed to him.

Not really...given how your side blamed DJT despite the fact that the sniffles hit every damned nation in the world, your guy gets to own the blame for the current situation.
Instead of just accepting that the sniffles will be with us forever, your side is back to taking away Constitutional freedoms and worrying about case counts, never mind that the very substantial percentage of those new cases will be absolutely fine.
So yeah, when I see an increasing number of Texas House Dems on a plane unmasked, despite a federal mandate that says otherwise, and I see them having created close-contact infections to Pelosi's staff and White House staff, I will mock the ones claiming that the vax is the only way out.
Oh, and it is not just the Dems plane that appears to have showed the 'success rate' to be crap. The summer camp count is doing the same thing on the group from Galveston County.
So you will excuse me if I elect not to be a lab rat.

This could go in either Left or Right Wing Looniness. I'll choose the right wing because here you have 4-5 members of the far right standing up for insurrectionists on the same day that the Capitol Police are testifying in front of the 1/6 commission. That's not a coincidence but rather a statement of which side these politicians support. "Traitor" is an emotionally charged word thus is inappropriate but this group walks right up to the precipice of the definition.
Interesting how Jan 6th was so shocking to Liberals. Yet long ago these words were penned by Bob Dylan and he was considered a hero to the counter-culture:

That's no retort. He was advocating going into their building. But no Liberal alive can keep up with how their own hypocrisy.
Invading the building is not the way to do it. But Liberals are allowed to do whatever it is they want when it comes to property destruction or calls for violent action.

Wasn't there a huge abortion protest inside the Texas Capitol years ago meant to keep Texas legislators from writing a law?
Were they called terrorists? Were they criticized for protesting inside the Capitol? Of course they were let in. They are leftists. Only deplorables are locked out of THEIR legislature building.

So that post is factually inaccurate? Yes, the noose was surely not planned to be used to actually hang someone. But they did yell “shoot him with his own gun” as they tackled one cop.
