Post Left Wing looniness here

So it was a scheduled Young Conservatives event?
All I can see in the audience are idiots disrupting.
There don't seem to be any conservative students.
There are. My youngest son, for one. However, he wouldn't go attend a scheduled event like this one. He uses his time for more productive pursuits.

Who was the administrative individual at the front of the room clapping in unison with the a-hole 'students'?
Probably the school president! At most schools, the leftist who run it use the students as their cutouts to stop conservatives events, which they themselves would love to just ban from campus, but have that pesky accountability aspect via pubic funding.

So they let students shout down events, totally without repercussions. Now if a conservative student takes down a sign for an approved leftist event, he's suspended or expelled.

Party members in good standing are exempt from the law, while for everyone else, most things are illegal. If you've read about life under communism, you understand how US universities work now.

And yet, in 15 years they will be DA's and judges. Good luck getting a fair trial if you've been accused of something which the Party disapproves of.
This wasn’t the law school like what happened at UC the other day. These are future HR dept heads and K-12 teachers.

Newsom proposes to force some homeless people into treatment
"The state would require counties to provide comprehensive treatment to those suffering from debilitating psychosis and people would be obligated to accept the care.

Some advocates for the homeless have objected to forced care, but Newsom told the San Francisco Chronicle it is past time to talk about civil rights when people are attacking others.

His proposal would require legislative agreement."
California proposal to force some homeless people into treatment

Well, what are you going to do? If the homeless bums are violent, they either need to go to jail or they need to go to some form of treatment center.

In my opinion, mental hospitals need to be de-mothballed, ASAP.

Dallas just implemented the most worthless policy for panhandlers esp with drug and mental issues. Officials are bragging how helpful it will be
Calif won't even pretend to do anything

social workers go to the panhandler offering all sorts of help.( which has already been done)
If they refused the panhandler is given an "E citation" to appear in " Community Court"
Where they are once again offered the help they turned down.
if they turn help down again they are given a citation to municipal court
The policy does not say what happens if they don't show up at either court ( what are the chances of any ever showing up?)
The city council along with many agencies worked on this for MONTHS. rolled in out with great fanfare in Nov.

Meaningless policy but lots of people got to pat themselves on their backs for being so 'progressive.'

Yeah, it doesn't look like there were any YCTers in the room in the short video - just an obnoxious mob.

mb
That is exactly what happened. Lots of praise for offering help to those who need it.
The "E Citation" to a "Community Court"is new as is the citation to a muni court if they show up at the Community Court and turn down offers of help.
Many of the panhandlers work shifts and are bused to their locations.
Who thinks they really will show up for Community Court?

Our neighborhood in far North Dallas is affected by panhandlers AND homeless.
We have asked what the consequences are for panhandlers who don't show up at either court.
So far no answer
Someone in another neighborhood near by has video of panhandlers being dropped off and picked up And vids of panhandlers parking late model cars, getting their signs out and going to work.

My solution is to build a fake city in Nevada and ship all of them there. Behind the building facades are social workers. The homeless folks are so high they wouldn’t even know the difference.

This from the policy made me laugh
"Panhandlers who decline to cooperate with the city’s new alternatives will be tracked in a new city database for follow-up and possible citations."
Oh NOES

The dreaded possible citations. Wonder how many give their real name?

No. He isn't politically active, but his mentality definitely leans conservative.

Well, if you're ever able to nudge him to care about politics, he can get great experience in YCT beyond just protests and rallies. You get to meet with and interview big political leaders - statewide, congressional, and legislative and lobby. It's also a good start for entering politics.

And it isn't entirely a sausage fest. Chicks do join, and they're largely decent chicks with good values (with a few notable exceptions of course).

And you know every one of the exceptions!

To be clear, I don't know any of the current members. I left the college chapters in 2002 when I graduated from law school, and retired from the state leadership in '06 when I turned 30.

There were some skanks in the organization when I was around, but most weren't. I never dated nor had any kind of sexual involvement with any YCTer. I adhered to the "Worlds Theory."
