"Nigel Farage has claimed that his bank accounts have been closed "without explanation".

The former UKIP leader, 59, said he had been with the "prestigious" banking group - which he did not name - for more than 40 years.

However, he said he had received a letter from the bank to tell him his personal and business accounts were being closed.


He claimed that the bank had given no explanation in the letter as to the reason behind the closures, but that he had since been told over the phone that the move was a "commercial decision".

Ridiculous since there are more poor white kids than all of black kids total.
 
So here is a Supreme Court Justice who LIED in her dissent and will not have to answer. WHY is that possible?

"It saves lives. For marginalized communities in North Carolina, it is critically important that UNC and other area institutions produce highly educated professionals of color. Research shows that Black physicians are more likely to accurately assess Black patients’ pain tolerance and treat them accordingly (including, for example, prescribing them appropriate amounts of pain medication). For high-risk Black newborns, having a Black physician more than doubles the likelihood that the baby will live, and not die," she wrote.

Frank responded to the argument in his Journal opinion piece: "A moment’s thought should be enough to realize that this claim is wildly implausible. Imagine if 40% of black newborns died—thousands of dead infants every week. But even so, that’s a 60% survival rate, which is mathematically impossible to double. And the actual survival rate is over 99%."

It's *********, but let's suppose that it wasn't. Would anyone really want to look into why black babies would be more likely to live with a black doctor than a white one? Because I doubt it would be a politically convenient reason for them.

"The study makes no such claims. It examines mortality rates in Florida newborns between 1992 and 2015 and shows a 0.13% to 0.2% improvement in survival rates for black newborns with black pediatricians (though no statistically significant improvement for black obstetricians)," he said. "
 
If you want everybody to acknowledge that our newest Supreme is a raging dumbass, you won't find any dissent around here.

But just as a thought exercise, follow Deez' premise.

I know. That's why I said it was *********. However, even if it was totally true, it wouldn't establish what she thinks it would.

There is a definite brain-drain on the left side of the Court. Sotomayor has shown herself to be dumb as hell for a long time. Jackson isn't off to a good start. Kagan is pretty sharp. None of them are as sharp as Ginsburg or Breyer were.
