Pelini Bros. Bitchfest as reported in Omaha

They're gonna have to eat their words because it was absolutely the right call. They had a few go their way as well. Sad when a coach loses his composure like that though. It's ok to be angry because you "think" you got screwed, but to take to that extent was a bit much.

Pelini is a great defensive coach but he doesn't represent Nebraska well - He has too much of the Youngstown lack of refinement.

All year long I have been saying that it is good for the Big XII that Nebraska is back. All year I have been pulling for the Huskers to be in the the Championship game with us because I wanted that history and heritage of the Texas-Nebraska rivalry,

Having said that, I must now say that the behavior described in the article in the OP is the most disgraceful and unsportsmanlike conduct that I have seen in a long time. The Pelini brothers have disgraced the entire Nebraska program. They are simply not worthy of the proud Nebraska heritage. Each of the Pelini brothers owes an apology to our team.

This pleases me, now I don't have to feel bad for the Huskers who I have always and will continue to like.

He should apologize. I'll give him the emotions of the moment. I'd be furious as well but nobody can doubt the video evidence.

Once he's seen it if hes an honorable guy he will say "I was mad, I was wrong, good game"

And if he does that it's all good. If not he's no better than Bob Stoops

As stated in another thread, I thought highly of the Pelinis and what they were doing at Nebraska.

No any more.

What a bunch of babies! If I were a Husker fan, I'd be embarrassed by their comments and demand some sort of public retraction. Absolute bush-league antics on their parts.

Interested to know what our Husker regulars think.

That game boiled up a lot of emotion. It is to bad that the coaches are having trouble showing class in a tough loss. I think it is a sign of the times. I am starting to sound like my grandfather...get off my lawn.

If Pelini wants to ***** at someone, ***** at your kicker who kicked out of bounds and your retarded DB who horse collarded with another DB ready to make a legal tackle.

I expect more out of Tom Osborne, but F the Penisini's. I agree with other posters - they're an embarrassment to a classy program.

I don't know what the F Colt was doing on that last play, but putting 1 second back on the clock was absolutely the right call.

They played a great game. Any thought that Texas cheated in that game is just ludicrous though. Texas and Nebraska have had a good rivalry I think the last 14 years of the Big 12 but there has never been hints of cheating or conspiracy during that time. It is just good hard played football.

Bo is acting very classless now. An accusation of cheating is very serious. To say he think he thought his team won or perhaps the officials messed up is one thing. But to say Texas cheated is just absolutely incorrect and insulting to Mack Brown and the Texas program.

Texas plays @ Nebraska on October 16, 2010.

Future Football Schedules

Unless I am mistaken, there will still be a lot of pent up resentment by Cornhuskers fans permeating the atmosphere in Lincoln for that one. That should be some kind of an environment to play a football game in.

I agree with HorninHongKong; in the heat of the moment and without the benefit of clear replay evidence anyone would be upset. After Bo & co. see the multiple timed replays on ESPN they will know it was the right call. It was VERY close but it WAS the correct call.

Hopefully Bo & co. will be grown ups and admit that after seeing the evidence.

******* crybaby *******. The replay that gave them a first down (and ultimately a FG) in 1 was okay, but adding a second is cheating? Riiiight.

As said above, we had calls go against us all night, Goodwin's KR being whistled when he did not have possession, an incorrect chop block call - those were HUGE plays in addition to the replay that gave them a first down.

Cry me a river. I hope those cocksuckers lose their bowl game.

I've got no issue with their behavior. It could have been better, yes, but I'm not gonna say I wouldn't have had a similar reaction in a similar setting. For you Monday Morning QB's on the winning side it's pretty easy to sit in the cheap seats and criticize.

Amazing how one's perspective on things like this cloud judgment. With many of the calls going against us all night (or non-calls -- how about the blatant block in the back by Nebraska on the big punt return in the 4th that got them set up for another field goal?), I felt like there was a Texas backlash going on. Clearly neither is the case.

One thing I do know -- Mack Brown would never have said that the Pelinis said. Ever.

Can't blame Pelini. I'm sure Dems remember the 2000 election, not gettnig political here, but you thought you had something monumental in your hands and then in an instant it was taken away. Nebraska played a good a defensive game thay anyone will ever see, and they played the type of game you have to play in order to pull the upset, and but for 3 HUGE breaks for Texas in the last minute, they have it.
Mack probably would have handled it differently, but I promise you, Hornfans wouldn't have. Great game Huskers, I think we should cut Pelini some slack. He and his team and their loyal following had their hearts ripped out.

Mcmike, you need to grow up with that "loser" ********. It's competition. You teach your kids not to be gracious in a loss because that makes them losers? Nice.
