Leipold will be a hot commodity. But I think with TEXAS and ou leaving he might think he has a shot at a conference title. KU upgraded their facilities. Lawrence is an ok town. KC is close. Combination of things and circumstances could turn out good for him.

Our game vs. Alabama is the headliner this week.

Other Games:

#22 Colorado vs Nebraska -- the Nation is watching this one. Is Deon a 1 hit wonder, or do the Buffs keep stampeding...?

NC State vs. #10 Notre Dame -- not a gimme game, but with QB Hartman, the Irish are for real.

#15 Kansas State vs. Troy -- methodical beatdown

Baylor vs. #12 Utah -- hopefully a nice welcome to the Big 12, complete with a Ute stomping of Baylor.

Texas Tech vs. #13 Oregon -- Tech QB Shuck takes on his old team.

Oklahoma State vs. Arizona State -- flip a coin on this one; Okla St on paper.

TCU vs. Nicholls -- nice bounce-back game. Frogs take out their frustrations.

#18 OU vs. SMU -- possible trap game. Danger for the Sooners. Go Ponies! Triple-D!!!

WV vs. Duquesne -- weak scheduling

Iowa State vs. Iowa -- a classic in-state rivalry. The "Cy-Hawk" game. The Hawks seem to have dominated this one in my memory.

Rice vs. Houston -- This ain't chess or Jeopardy, Rice loses to UH

Sam Houston vs. Air Force -- I like the matchup. Sam lacks the horses to keep up though.

UTSA vs. Texas State -- Now this is an interesting one. Who is the top team in the Central/South Central Texas shadow of UT.

Miami vs. #23 aTm -- trap game for the ags.

#24 Tulane vs. #20 Ole Miss -- an old-school Classic Southern power matchup. Go back 4-5-6 decades ago, and these could have been the best 2 teams in the South any given year.

#6 USC vs. Stanford -- some bad feelings will be in the air.

#8 Washington vs. Tulsa -- The dogs keep inching up the rankings

Cal vs Auburn -- 2 underachievers. Somebody has to win...

#21 Duke vs. Lafayette -- a nice easy game after Duke's massive upset win.

#17 UNC vs. App. State -- Mack doesn't overlook this always-dangerous opponent

#25 Clemson vs. Charleston Southern -- Clemson takes out its frustrations on an overmatched Cha So. team.

Hawaii vs. Albany -- finally a team the Bows can beat. The State of Hawaii needs every lift-up moment it can get now after the fires.

#16 Oregon St v. UC Davis -- blah

#4 Florida State v. Eastern Washington -- blah

#19 Wisconsin vs. Washington State -- possible trap game

#2 Michigan vs. UNLV -- Wolverines paste them

#5 Ohio State vs. Youngstown State -- this would be like UT vs. Lamar on the gridiron

#7 Penn State vs. Delaware -- more weak scheduling

#14 LSU vs. Grambling -- the halftime show will be world-class

Miss St vs. Arizona -- Zona is still in the dumps

So Carolina vs. Furman

San Diego St vs. UCLA

Florida vs. McNeese -that's UNRANKED Florida vs McNeese

Pitt vs. Cincinnati -- battle up North between 2 urban semi-powers.

Not a great week overall, but we've seen worse slates of "Other Games".

I have been to KU for a game with Texas on Thanksgiving weekend. Stayed in Kansas City at a nice hotel with lots of Longhorns. Asked the Concierge best way to get to the football game. he didn't know there was one and had never been to Lawrence or how to get there. Asked a few other employees, same answer. Asked Longhorn fans who suggested Uber. It was fine.

Got to the game, a lot of Longhorns and cops but generally very empty. Lots of cops. KU played a good game and had a very good coach we later hired. Don't think it is a football school. Nice town but KSU has a much better and a knowledgeable fan base. Frankly so does Wyoming. KU is like Duke, they will never beat anybody in football.

Irish and NC State are about to start back after a long weather delay. They’ll play in the rain in NC. 3-0 Irish.

Woah!!!!!!!!!!

1st play after the rain delay. 80 yard TD run for ND.

10-0 Irish.

:nd:
As 1,000s of Texas high school football coaches would say: “You could’ve driven a Mack truck through that hole!”

The Irish OL is stout.

Utes driving near mid field. 1st and 10. Down 13-6 to Baylor. Just over four minutes left in the game.
