OTHER GAMES

Quick, slide in Tech to take on the Hogs in the Texas Bowl. If their players can be located in time...

That looks like a Manny Diaz defense alright.

but Miami clearly got screwed on that 4th down non- PI penalty.

Manny is right where he belongs. He's a local guy down there, has a higher level of class than that program's coaches are historically known for, and he doesn't cheat (as far as I know). The U may not win it all any time soon (or ever), but they're in a better position than they've been in for years.

(and yes, I'm very well aware he performed poorly for us at DC)

The announcers are befuddled about Tylan Wallace, OKS's best receiver and a high draft pick, not playing in the second half. Apparently Wallace is able to play but has elected not to play in the second half. That's the report from the sidelines.

I'm guessing they are missing some information because surely a player wouldn't quit halfway through the game.

I'm guessing he opted out because his team was up 21-0 and had the game well in hand.

These days, it would not surprise me.

Oklahoma State goes back up by 11. Sanders is throwing better than he has most of the year. Looks very comfortable and confident.

Miami gets sacked for a big loss on 2nd and 9, gets almost everything on 3rd, then goes for it on 4th and 1 from midfield and succeeds. Even though I hope they lose, it's such a no-brainer to go for it there that it's nice to see a coach actually make the call.

There’s no way he got that first down. It was a gift.

Of course after I post that about Sanders, he throws a pass right off the defender's helmet that could easily have been picked, and then makes both a bad read and a poor throw on 3rd down, so now they are punting. Nice Dicksonesque punt though.

A 6 team playoff would better

Rules
Each P5 conf champ is in
The best G5 champ is in
Top 2 teams get a bye

Applied to this season --
(1) Bama vs. winner of (4) ou vs. (5) Cincy
(2) Clemson vs. winner of (3) tOSU vs. (6) Oregon
This would be much better IMO

The existing CFP system has not produced very many good games. I would argue it has been nothing like we hoped and expected

This is the CFP's 7th year
In the first 6 years, the avg. margin of victory (18g) has been 18.6 points
The average CFP semifinal margin of victory (12g) has been 21.3 points

In six seasons, only 1 CFP game in 6 years has been decided by 3 points or less
While 11 of 18 have been decided by 17+ points

There have been as many CFP games decided by single digits as there have been decided by 27+ pts

I think an expanded the number of playoff games would make it all better, from multiple perspectives

And aggy is still out. Bwahahahaha,

This 3-star is going to torture us for the next 3 years
He was ranked #925 nationally in the 247 Comp

That picture makes him look more like someone who squeezes band practice in when not in some sort of graduate math/physics combination program.

Stands to reason defense may struggle with him.

This would be a miserable evening to play the Cotton Bowl Classic at the Cotton Bowl. I hope they appreciate the luxury of playing at ATT Stadium or whatever it’s called.
