OTHER GAMES

And Helton’s job is preserved. Last year at this time, he was on a seat hotter then Tom now sits in.

Terrible loss by Florida. Played like crap all game. Horrid play calling for most of the 4th quarter. Then the penalty after a 3rd down stop when the Gator defensive player threw the LSU players shoe down the field.

He truly “threw the game away”.

Besides throwing the game away it likely cost them any chance of being in the playoffs and even a New Years bowl game.

Bama will probably smoke them, leaving them with 3 losses and a 2 loss streak, so yeah, off to the Citrus Bowl instead of the Sugar. Should never play another down for Florida.

That was actually some pretty crappy coaching by LSU at the end - bailed out by a dumb Florida defender throwing a shoe, by their own kicker nailing a 57 yarder in poor conditions, and by Florida missing a field goal as time expired.

The rules being such that Ball State isn't even penalized for having the whole team on the field is ludicrous. What a sham of an ending.

So USC finishes their regular season undefeated (no thanks to Bru McCoy) for the first time since 2005 when we beat them for the national championship. And a year ago, they were ready to run Helton out of town on a rail. Snipe all you want about the short season and the competition. This was a heck of a turnaround. Wish it would happen here.

I got drawn, after LSU-Florida, into the boxing promotion they put on. Good ploy by them. I really liked it. Used to watch boxing back before UFC.

there was an illegal forward pass that negated the play.

Right, but having 50 guys out on the field clearly obstructing the play should matter too. If a guy who started the play on the field committed a penalty, it would have offset - but because it's a penalty by guys who started the play off the field, it's considered to have never happened. Seems stupid to me.
