Olympics

I'm hearing rumors this entire situation is because Biles can't take her usual ADHD meds because they aren't allowed I'm Japan.

Any truth to this? Is this the "mental health" she's talking about? Is she really unable to perform because of her lack of ADHD meds?!

Beats me. Since when is ADHD a mental health issue? Is she embarrassed to just admit she has ADHD and without her meds she can't concentrate on performing?

Or like I've said a few times already, is this some kind of vertigo where she actually loses her coordination and that's what the meds are for?

We definitely need more info. Calling her brave and a hero is way overcooked on this. She needs meds to perform... yikes. Allegedly at this point.

I haven't been around much lately but how did a jock dropping some events become an issue for a political board? This is West Mall, right?

It is political because every feminist and Liberal is rushing to her rescue and glorifying the failure of the human mind.

Thanks for the non snarky response. I don’t pay attention to the Olympics and did not know about that angle.

Biles checking out is not the same as pulling a starter on an off night. Team USA couldn't replace her for the rest of the finals. There was no bullpen. Her three remaining teammates couldn't bring on someone else to take her place.

This is incorrect. Jordan Chiles and Grace McCallum stepped in to the events that Biles subbed out of.

Now if you want to hear about an athlete who actually did quit an event that left a teammate in the lurch, let's talk about Novak Djokovic. He threw one racket into the stand in frustration and broke another during his singles match, and then after he lost that match promptly withdrew from his mixed doubles match - thus forfeiting the match and depriving his teammate of a shot at Bronze.

On Biles: "You better start learning how to deal with pressure, and how to cope with those moments."

On himself: "We’re all human beings and sometimes it’s difficult to control your emotions."

It's like obsessive compulsive disorder. Yeah, a disorder. Sounds like something slobs made up to make themselves look better.

Well Novak is a ***** then. He can't blame it on ADHD meds. He should know better.

If she trained under Coaches Biden, Psaki, Schumer and Pelosi she could accomplish both. Their mental gymnastics when trying to justify the rank ignorance of their climate change, economic, foreign, and immigration policies is something to behold.

Put's the conservatives claims that the left "hates America" in context when conservatives openly root for the US to lose because the women want equal pay.
First, if they want equal pay, they're going to have to forfeit some of what they got paid:

Klausner's ruling also made prominent note of the compensation figures for the women's and men's players and the defense contention that, even excluding pay for the National Women's Soccer League, women's players earned more than men's players in total and on a per-game basis during the period in question. The ruling cited as undisputed fact that from 2015 to 2019, the women's national team averaged $220,747 per game in total payments (for a total of $24.5 million), while the men's national team averaged $212,639 per game in total payments (for a total of $18.5 million).

Second, they agreed to the basis for pay via CBA, as was stated above.

Third, STFU. You're adults, and you are responsible for your agreements. Quit blaming others for your perceived screw-ups.

Fourth, the women's team is not doing the same job as the men's team. They are playing women, not men. Those women are slower and weaker than men.

What's next, powder puff football gets paid as much as NFL players?

Jordan Chiles should start.

I wonder if they'll show up for the bronze medal match on Thursday that "none of them wanted to play", according to the link. Maybe they'll pull a Biles and claim there's too much stress and they can't possibly play any more soccer.
