Somebody come up with a credible source or put me on ignore. If you don't like the kid, that's your prerogative; Lord knows we've had some come through the program that I wish were somewhere else. I remain of the opinion that he gave us all he could and risk his remaining career by playing hurt nearly the entire season.

Before Casey & his family made any decision Sark sat down with Casey and had a lengthy conversation about his future at Texas, and what other options might be out there. Wouldn't surprise me if Sark made a few calls for the kid and possibly advised him on those options.

The internet made a mountain out of a molehill. I know that is difficult to believe because it almost NEVER happens that people sensationalize stories and headlines in the incessant quest for a couple of dozen clicks of a mouse.

I'm saying perhaps you fell for the media narrative instead of listening to Casey's initial answer (which was dramatized) and his follow up request of the media the next day.

Folks- I saw the CT press conference and absolutely the media ( huge surprise) made a story out of what was a non issue.
CT was asked about UT the skill set and depth at Nebraska and he addressed the depth and skills of Nebraska players. He did not imply they were better.
When I saw the media outrage, I was shocked CT would say what he said…. And confirmed his comments were taken out of context. They were. Shame on some in the media.
I blame the jackass media, not the Horn Fans.

Well Casey did have an uneven rocky performance last Saturday and human nature as it is, you know he was going to get grilled. I hope he and Nebraska win every game the rest of the season unless they play us in the end.

Criticism of Thompson was tempered with his hurt throwing hand that affected his accuracy and the poor passpro by the OL. This was widely acknowledged last season. In short, there were too many other issues to simply focus on Thompson.

That time of year again...everyone gets touchy and grumpy (myself included probably) as the offseason drags on..and we wait.
Just because we have different takes or perspectives....we are all different people here....doesn't mean we have to get cross with each other. I made the mistake of calling out some people a little too harshly a week or so ago (and HIC called me out on it...and thats fine). A little bit of that going on here...
Season can't start fast enough.

I can see your point. I’ve become more of an *** on the boards. Also, keep in mind, my comments are not directed at those on this board specifically. But holy hell guys like Jones, Brockermeyer, Bush get roasted. I know it’s always been a thing but those guys have presumably been good teammates and have worked at improving. And at worst, they aren’t worse than others.

But if you want to think ironic, you should hear me whine and complain during games, generally more coaching and officiating though.

You're Right and You're Wrong , You're Wrong .
You're Right in that your sentiment is just and reasonable, but You're Wrong in that I do not think anyone was really trashing Casey.
