Nebraska vs Northwestern

I'm still at a loss to understand his leaving. He'd have probably won the job here, and went to a place where he'd have worse receivers and running backs around him (and the OL, if it's better, it's not by much). I don't think we'll be all that great this year but we sure ought to be better than what we saw from the Huskers.

Just watched the game and Frost totally screwed the pooch on that bonehead onside kick call. Up two TDs then completely changed the momentum of the game.

I think you Ewers are Card either one could have outplayed him today. I think he read the writing on the wall and left at the correct time. I'm glad he's gone and we're starting fresh.

I didn’t watch. They played in Dublin!?!? Cool and good for them! Always felt sorry for them since losing the Dr Pepper factory and all.

Ewers and Card both have more arm talent than Casey, and that seems to be something Sark values rather highly.

Had Casey stayed he would have been supplanted by one or both of our current QBs.

Northwestern is selling out to stop the run. Forcing Casey to beat them with his arm. He's making the correct reads, but every pass still looks like a wobbly beach ball. I'm surprised they're not getting more coverage on the ball, but that's what happens when every receiver just has a single man near him.
Must be that darn thumb again

Look...Im usually all for just about anyone who chooses to rep this school....BUT....There are a few exceptions.....and here's one...
Some of you may want to do a little research and see what all has come out of Casey's mouth since his departure.
CT has done nothing but had mouth UT at every opportunity since leaving...mostly in childish, senseless ways. I don't wish him any ill will....but I dont understand why so many on here are propping him up like he was and is some kind of great, loyal and appreciative representative of this school/program. He isn't. I appreciate the time and effort he gave here...though I think there were possibly some relevant issues of maturity, loyalty, and motive. I wasn't a huge fan of Shane Buecheles play on the field. But, let me tell ya..as far as past Horn transfers.....CT is no Shane Buechele..and he doesn't deserve to be remembered as such.

“One in hand is worth two in the bush”

I am afraid we’re putting an awful lot of faith in Ewers (and apparently Card for some reason?)
CT is a baller. The offense wasn’t the problem last year.

The grass isn’t always greener...
He made his bed...
Yada yada yada

Casey will be fortunate if he makes it through this season unscathed. I’ve got a feeling he won’t.

Mathis seemed to have a decent game, but no huge individual plays as Northwestern racked up 528 yards of offense. The announcers seemed stumped as to why he didn't have any TFL's or pressures.

NW offensive line won the six inch turf battles more often than not pushing NE Dline back ... #77 Left Tackle was legit

I was not impressed with Mathis at all ...

After watching that game I was pleased to see Mathis was a non factor and certainly not worth the fretting of some that wanted him and the fact that Casey was his old hot and cold self. Addition by subtraction on both subjects.

Apparently I've been in a cave. I've missed all the hate CT has supposedly been throwing our way. My google search turned up nothing. Would someone enlighten me? I've always liked the kid and certainly don't hold his papa against him.

0855,

If you find out, please relay it. It was my understanding that he was one of a few stabilizers in the locker room when Herman lost his team. I couldn't stand his father when he was at OU, but I do admire him for making huge changes in his life particularly considering the way things turned out for my favorite OU LB Rod Choate.
