Taking a 10 over a 7 is often a good bet...the 10 often is a school few are aware of while the 7 is often over-rated due to their conference.

One of the comments last night in the men's Kentucky upset (15 over 2) is that the starters on the double-digits would often have made the team on a single digit school but would be in the deep part of the roster with limited time.

We will see in the brackets just how true this holds this year for the women, but I took all four of the #10 seeds...

Total let down... that's the danger of looking forward past one opponent eyeing a matchup with what would've been the next one (assuming that was the case).

Well, if Coach Yo is A&M's head coaching target to replace Blair, we'll know soon, IMO. While she's done "good" in her career, still no NCAA tourney wins. And, this was her best chance with a first round WNBA draft pick, and still couldn't find success in the post-season.

Sure looks like Utah in game 2. The Arkys can’t buy a 3. They both play fast, fast, fast. Right in our wheelhouse.
 
Looks like our Round 2 opponent (assuming we advance) will be looking to shoot 3's. They were able to go inside in this 1st game, but will have more difficulty doing that against us. We let ISU shoot a number of threes so will be interesting to see what we do.
 
I’m honestly impressed with our crowd tonight. Considering Texas baseball is playing as well as Texas softball id say this is an impressive showing. I just wish softball and baseball would’ve moved up their game so even more fans can be at the FEC
 
Both sides of our game are off. Yet we still have a double digit lead. Have to fix those back door cuts and start hitting our shots.

I'm kinda glad this was ugly. It reminded me why its called March Madness. No game is a given.
 
We looked like we had a little rust on us... somewhat sluggish. Maybe we were even a little tired still from KC, if not physically then perhaps mentally. I loved that Vic had four freshmen on the floor together for an extended period. They played pretty well together. Big props to Aaliyah Moore and Rori with solid performances.

Think they were tight. Funny saying that after an 18 point win. Free throw shooting was back to early season. How many times did we have issues with someone fumbling a simple pass. Rebound bouncing off of 3 horns then out of bounds.
Rori will be the first one to tell you she wasn't satisfied with her game.
I'm guessing practice is going to be rough tomorrow.

Free throws…woof. Aaliyah was 10/10 and everyone else was 6/16.
 
Aaliyah Moore was terrific while Gaston not so much. I hope AMO starts over Gaston against Utah.

I think it’s time to take Holle out of the starting five for Matharu.
 
Kirk Bohls proving that he doesn't really even watch our team play when his question to Audrey about Fairfield's zone includes the commentary "I don't know how much zone defense you all saw this season . . . ". Damn you Kirk. Texas faced zone defenses like 95% of their games.

Please don't wait too long tomorrow to pull S.Holle and A.Warren and J.Taylor.No offense at all in the 2nd half.
