Murray/Lodge visit - what the hell is this?

KM is gone. But, we have Heard already on board, learning the O and he'll get his shot this year. He did have 2 undefeated seasons in HS and won 2 back to back 6A championships, well the first was under the old 5A classification. I think he'll have a good season, but regardless of who's the QB it will be rough and KM would have a struggle as well. The job will get done. Only thing many of us believe is that getting KM would have been to let us poke our finger in the eyes of aggy. And I think we still get some of the big 8 or whatever they are referred to now. We ain't done nor done in.

Actually, now I am not worried about next year, as we have pretty much openly said we will run a version of spread with QB runs. Heard will do well. It was the complicated and perfectionist pro-style that he was taking time to learn. With a new system, the offense can be simpler and Heard can do that stuff. So, we are okay. Actually in that kind of an offense, if he is free to run, Tyrone could be pretty good too. As a backup, without as much pressure as a starter, he could be good enough to win us a game or two if Heard gets injured or anything. But we do need a 3rd QB. Merrick may not be ready to run the new offense easily. Need Kai Locksley as a 3rd QB, even if he will be redshirting, most probably.

Jay, Not sure about Tyrone. No question he has the physical tools to sling the football. But he just doesn't seem to handle the mentality part of the game. Some players just have it and some don't when it comes to that part of the game. I just don't see Tyrone being able to handle it which effects his leadership ability.

We'll be fine with Heard, Not so with Swoopes.
