Former Ukraine Ambassador Yovanovich is testifying in a closed door session today. She was the Ambassador that Trump recalled early (a few months before her scheduled tour end) and mentioned directly on his call with Zelensky claiming she's "going to go through some things."

In yesterdays disclosed indictment we learned that Guiliani's business associates, Parnas and Fruman, lobbied for her removal on behalf of an unnamed Ukrainian politician. Aside from the campaign finance violation allegations, they met with "Congressman-1" to push for Yovanovich's removal as well as allegedly funneling campaign contributions to said Congressman. The conjecture about the identity of "Congressman-1" is Pete Sessions. Sessions was a public critic of Yovanovich before and after her removal. He's also been a vocal Trump supporter around the Zelensky call. Of course, all of this occured before he was potentially tied to Parnas and Fruman.

Ambassador Yovanovich reportedly had a few interesting tidbits. All quotes are from this article.

1. She was instructed not to testify by the State Dept, essentially ignore the Congressional Subpoena.

2. She learned in summer 2018 that Trump had lost confidence in her. According to her Superiors she had done nothing wrong.
Marie Yovanovitch said that Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan told her that she had "done nothing wrong and that this was not like other situations where he had recalled ambassadors for cause.”

Sullivan said President Trump had "lost confidence in me and no longer wished me to serve as his ambassador,” Yovanovitch said in her testimony.

3. She pointed the finger at Guiliani and his associates for her ouster.

Yovanovitch expressed extreme surprise at her removal, saying that while she understood “that I served at the pleasure of the President, I was nevertheless incredulous that the U.S. government chose to remove an Ambassador based, as best as I can tell, on unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives.”

She discussed what she described as “attacks” from former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is acting as Trump's personal attorney, in regards to her removal.

She said she had only been in contact with Giuliani a handful of times, but suggested two associates of his who were arrested on campaign finance charges on Wednesday may have played a role in her ouster.

“With respect to Mayor Giuliani, I have had only minimal contacts with him—a total of three that I recall,” Yovanovitch said. “I do not know Mr. Giuliani’s motives for attacking me. But individuals who have been named in the press as contacts of Mr. Giuliani may well have believed that their personal financial ambitions were stymied by our anti-corruption policy in Ukraine.”

#3 isn't a surprise. Wonder what the State Department's response to her will be for refusing their direction? Based on my amateur analysis they seem to be handling her with kid gloves right now. She is still a State Department employee. There was no big pronouncement of her showing up against their direction, no department lawyer in tow.

Yes, it very well could be. At the very least they were playing on race politics.

Not sure what that has to do with this topic. While you continue to point out hypocrisy you neglect holding your side accountable which makes your effort part of the problem, not the solution.

The Firehose of Falsehood doesn't say that there isn't a thread of truth. Propaganda requires some thread of truth to be more effective. The Firehose of Falsehood denotes a strategy to spam information across many channels without regard for full truth or consistency to drown out truthful reporting by confusing news consumers.

This is JoeFans vehicle. It's how he infers Shep Smith has a sexual assault allegation and/or is at risk of being "caught up in the Barr net", whatever that means.

I used to spend too much time proving JoeFan was ever only giving a propagandists view of news. I proved this so often he blocked me. Now I'll simply point out that the vast majority of information JoeFan posts fits the Firehose of Falsehood strategy perfected by the Russians.

According to the UN, Ukraine is 132nd in GDP per capita, behind Bhutan, El Salvador and Sri Lanka. In terms of Europe, they are the poorest, worst than the Baltic states and various part of old Yugoslavia. They still have families there without functioning toilet facilities.

The last thing they need to be doing is giving the Clintons $10M. And if they did, you can bet it was for a reason other than charity because they already have enough charitable needs on their own
 
Wow Ukraine gave the Clintons 10 Million?
I wonder how the average Ukrainian would feel IF they knew and if they had our freedom of speech?
 
A FARA violation would be the best way to get Guiliani. Hell, everybody in D.C. has broken it in one way or the other.

Which part of the post are facts? It's always tough to discern facts when wrapped in extreme partisan opinion.

Since I didn't know this guy from Adam or Ann I checked out his Wikipedia page. Assuming I got the right guy I'm trying to ascertain how someone goes from being an academic on 19th century British Secularism to modern day politics, specifically Oil and Gas policy.
 
He was a Marxist scholar who started questioning the ideology at NYU. Then he was forced out and now he writes about Marxism to criticize it. Smart guy, who experienced bullying and turned against his bullies.

SH, you probably won't like him.
