The Dem's impeachment report attempts to make an impeachment claim of threatened retaliation against witnesses. As evidence, they cite a Rush Limbaugh quote that Trump tweeted

Here is Pamela (knows affectionately as "George" on campus) Karlan's political donations this cycle
She has also donated to other Dems in other races this cycle
She also donated to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

These witnesses are blurring the lines between expert opinion and fact witness testimony. People are probably tired of reading this, but again, in a real courtroom, much of this testimony would be inadmissible -- they would be stopped from continuing that line of testimony -- it would not be part of the official record -- and the jury would be instructed not to consider it.

I may be biased, but this seems a questionable choice of hattery under the circumstances

And, as you might have already have guessed, this Hillary-supporter was talking impeachment of Trump all the way back in 2016 - well before any Ukraine phone calls.

All you guys that posted the dems won't go thru with a vote to impeach... after watching this shitshow this morning, do you still hold that belief?

The dems are all in. Always have been. Look at what they are rolling out on the stage today (looks like SNL actors railing on trump)

If the dems don't bring this to vote, they look incompetent. If they don't vote to impeach, they look like a total joke. They have too much to lose by not going on with the charade

I guess we keep underestimating their stupidity.
 
I am the one who keeps saying that won't vote. I still don't think they will.

This whole process has been to call up biased witnesses who are questioned by rabid anti-Trump pols. So today is no different. Polls shows support for impeachment going down. They are responding with more public rabidity. It will only further reduce support. They won't vote.
 
Sometimes I think they’re just trying to get a major historical moment in the book of history. All the “we take this so seriously” etc, and the repetitive “I think”, or “I feel like” make me think it’s just their chance for a moment in the sun. Just thinking out loud here.

Agree.

In the end I don't think they will vote to impeach, but before they quit and censure, the Dems will make as much noise and bruise Trump as much as they possibly can. The goal is to harm him in 2020 and to at least be able to say there were "very serious allegations" and or "serious impeachment hearings" due to his abuse of power.

This whole circus also serves another purpose: it is keeping Biden-gate out of most of the mainstream news... hoping the noise about that will die down.
 
How can the Dems do this? 3 of these supposed constitutional professors have such hatred for Trump what is their purpose except to spew hate.
How would anyone but the most hard core hater think this is a meaningful circus?

I also laugh at the haters insistenance that Trump is afraid of Biden as a candidate.
