I'm the Poster Formally Known as "HornFanStuckInOK," but I the Air Force decided to send me to Germany. Of course in a few months I will be "HornFanStuckInOK" again.....****.
I was trying to come up with something that would be reflective of the color of my blood, and all of the good ones were already taken. So, I started looking though some of my UT/Longhorn related books for inspiration. Chapter 24 in "Hook 'Em Horns: A Story of Texas Football" by Denne H. Freeman is called Orange Infusion. Ta-dah!!! That's me, Orange Infused.
I loved Deion Sanders as a kid, so much that I was called "Deion" in high school by upper classmen, (I played varsity sports as a freshman...it was a small school) who appreciated my on field skill yet, though enjoyable at times, also thought my "antics" were a little over-the-top at other times. Anyway...Deion's college # and NFL pratice jersey was #2 and in NFL games he wore the #21.
The "hookem" part was added when I came here for school.
Cwag is a nickname that started in highschool by a friend of mine. Some of my friends started calling me that in college. It is also my email on 4 or five different email servers.
Cwag is a nickname that started in highschool by a friend of mine. It is a derivation of my first and last name. Chris + Waggonner. Some of my friends started calling me that in college. It is also my email on 4 or five different email servers.
Its from "The Kid with the Broken Halo", it was the name of the football player. After watching it my brother and I started using it as a snap count in sandlot football. As in "Rudy DeSautel, Rudy DeSautel, Set, Hut".
It was either that or Vitaly Potapenko The Ukraine Train, so I went with the shorter one.
Thought it would be unique when I was living in Charleston, SC during the summer of 2001 when I first posted. Now I only go there to visit my parents from time to time and really don't ever plan on living there again.
It's one of those things I'd like to change, but it's no big deal, it was one hell of a summer I spent in the Palmetto State.
I was given the "nickname" when I was about 7 shortly after moving from California to Austin, Tx.. Name is Beverly..... neighbors called me "Leave it to Beaver" and "Beverly Hillbilly" and those names ticked me off... then came Bevo, not sure why but that stuck more since my dad was attending a UT grad study....
I added the "ette" to make it seem more feminine and smaller..... David McWilliams once said, "funny , you do not look like a cow or steer" when told my "nickname". my nephews call me "aunt Bevo" and even the pastor at my church calls me Bevo... been that for over 30 yrs.....
Fan of the Chili Peppers, new CD was Californication, was actually moving to California, and seemed to fit at the time. Now I live in Colorado, never care to live in Cali again, so maybe it's time for a more representative screen name.
I saw the name Dagmar in a SAT practice book when I was in 9th grade and thought it was hilarious for some reason (It got alot less funny when i found out it was a girls name......
). It was in my first email address and basically all the people I know on hornfans call me Dagmar, so I guess I have to keep it.
Back in the heyday of the Simpsons, Sherri Bobbins (not to be confused with Marry Poppins) sings a song about "Barney the Boozehound." As she ends the song, Bart sings, "Can I be a Boozehound?" To which Homer replies, "Not till you're fifteen."
Catchy song - it caught on as my screenname when I started college, and I haven't been able to shake it since.
I wanted a new screen name. I happened to be watching "Trading Places." I heard that big Barry White looking ************ tell Billy Ray Valentine, "It ain't cool being no Jive Turkey so close to Thanksgiving."
