Horns vs Coogs Game Thread 2023

Fortunately for us uh coaches refused to believe that Texas would never cover a crossing or drag pattern in the middle of the field and went away from it on those last plays

Consider it a make up for all the other non-calls. I'm not as convinced as the Fox announcers that it was a bad spot. But even if we were given a huge break, it was way overdue.

agreed. The view was from a large angle and you could not tell where the spot was. May or may have been a good spot but don’t think you can say with certainty it was bad.

That was as frustrating a game as I have watched in a while probably have to go back to Sarkisian‘s first year with the second half meltdowns to find a level of frustration with the way the team was playing. But in the end, they got the win which is the most important thing, but the way they played was just butt ugly. That said there’s always a letdown after the Oklahoma game and hopefully this was the nadir and unlike last year where they just fell apart at Stillwater they at least found a way to win. Important to see how Ewers is for the rest of the year and we all are going to be holding our breath till we find out about that.

Ha ha! We have to rely on the refs and the other team to F up! Soft as a fresh roll of Charmin.

Nice tough win but I didn't like team coming out of bye weekend. Maybe now we can stop talking about running the table and focus on just the next game. Everyone hates us...I expect all the games left to be tough. Texas Fight :bevo:

Yep. Especially Catalon.
Gotta disagree. We have been vulnerable to the pass all year long, and we have been very ineffective defending it against “any decent passing quarterback.” Decent defined as today or two weeks ago. We are completely inept. Frankly, I’m astounded.

We have sufficient athletes to play better pass defense. We’re just not doing it. I don’t get it.

PK is not getting it done, and Sark’s judgment is questionable.

I think our pass rush has fallen off significantly and it is exposing our backfield on defense.

Please tell me I'm not the only one sick of seeing our DBs flex after a tackle on a 10+ yard pass they just gave up...

IMO this is such a tired and false platitude. We're not "everyone's Super Bowl" because at this point, we're just not that relevant.
