I was right about my top 3 too!!

Jen was a backstabbing ***** and a very poor team player. Im glad that she was eliminated. Im guessing that Corey will end up the winner.

.

Thank God. I got so sick and tired of her whining followed by her bragging followed by her back stabbing followed by her bragging, etc...

Looks like Christina screws the pooch next week.

I'm not sure about Corey, she's been kind of struggling lately. Petrozza was rock solid again, which isn't easy at the meat station.

Yeah, after watching the production I was a little surprised that Petrozza didn't get to "choose" after the service. I don't think he's ever won a challenge but he has been rock solid in service for the last half of the run. As the pressure has raised he has gotten better. I still think that he is too sloppy for Ramsay, but it may not end up being an issue.

Jen has been done for weeks, and I wasn't sad to see her go.

Corey was unflappable until three episodes ago, and since then she has not been able to get her head fully back in the game. I'm not sure what that is about, but it has certainly shaken my confidence in her.

That leaves Christina, who is rocking out in the challenges and holding her own in service. I can't help but thinking that her confidence is paper thin, but it isn't going to matter if she can maintain. I think it would be pretty cool if it came down to her and petrozza... old hat professional vs up and comer.

ALLELUIA Jen the *****, backstabbing, *****, talking ****, ***** is gone!!! I was so relieved!!! I couldn't take another show with her running her mouth! It was getting old and tired!! Too bad we'll have to see her again when it gets down to the final 2 and they have to choose the rejected teammates to help them in the kitchen.

I'm thinking it's gonna boil down to Petrozza and Corey. Looks from the previews that Christina is gone next week, but who knows. She burned Ramsey not once, but twice! Dumbass!

I think it will boil down to Petrozza and Christina. Don't underestimate the edit jobs to make it look like Christina is gone. If she were really gone, why show it in a preview?

Anyway, I think Petrozza will end up winning it all. Remember the end game is being an executive chef for Gordon. If I had to chose one of the three of them it would be him for that position. He seems to run his station and a team well (we will see the running a team more next week), and he has the experience to head a staff. Christina is an up and comer and I like her a great deal, but I don't think she is there as far as maturity and experience.

Corey just gets flustered too easily. Not something I think Gordon will be looking for.
There are my $.02

So here we are Christina and Petrozza. Appears to come down to the one who cooked the best in the challenges and the one who screwed up the least. I hope Petrozza wins the thing. I think Christina is a good cook, but just not quite ready yet.

Petrozza is consistent as the day is long. His screw ups are seldom and usually small. That said, his attention to detail is abysmal. He is a slob.

Christina is young and talented. She understands the competition, she has a great palate and she knows her way around a kitchen. That said, she caves under pressure and lacks authority (not even the professionals want to do what she says). Christina is just too young.

Out of the field, I'm happy that it is these two, as they are emotional favorites. That said, somehow deep down I wish this was between Corey and Bobby at this point, people with authority and consistency... even if their "highs" aren't equal to petrozza and christina. I said at the beginning of the show and I'll say it again... there is no one who deserves to be an executive chef in this cast.

I like the final two. However, I would have liked to see Bobby in the final. I think he would have taken either one.

Well mia and THEU called it for the bottom 2 in the finale! I'm just hoping Petrozza wins it all. It's funny how in the preview Ramsey says he may have it wrong for who is in the finale. Like I've mentioned before, I don't think ANY of the contestants this year are worthy of a Ramsey establishment.

The winner isn't going to be his executive chef. They're going to get the prize money and a job in the restaurant. Only one winner of Hell's Kitchen has actually gotten what the show claimed they would receive. I expect Christina will win. She's young and talented.

I expect Christina to win also, for the same reasons.

While I am heartened that these people won't receive a reward above their abilities... I can't say it makes this show anything but less watchable when you consider the fact that EVERY episode begins with Ramsey announcing that they are competing for the title of Executive Chef in his restaurant. It is not a recording which they play during the credits, but he personally reiterates it each week directly to the competitors. If that is not the outcome, then how can you not question EVERY aspect of the show?

Titles and Responsibilities can vary greatly in restaurtants and in food service in general. I know a guy here who is a Sous Chef, and he basically teaches 'cooks' how to cook on the lines. This is for a hospital so it is even MORE different than a restaurant. Sous Chef's sometimes just do prep, and other times they have authourity at a station, etc.

It seems that Christina and Petrozza are being hired to do quality control of dishes coming out of the kitchen more than anything else. I can only think that they will go through EXTENSIVE training to do just what Ramsey wants them to do at the new restaurant. I do believe that either of these two are competent enough to basically manage a menu and do quality control on the dishes. It seems that is what the job might entail. Ramsey seemed to really focus on the jobs they did at 'the pass.'

It's idiotic that they think winning a job as a sous chef for Gordon Ramsay plus 250k isn't prestigious enough.

This is the 3rd season that I have watched. It seems to me that the quality of the contestants has decreased significantly from a couple seasons ago. Does anyone else agree?

First season I have watched the show, so I don't know elguapo.

I will say I don't think it is FOX lying. It is Gordon himself. He is the ONLY one I have heard make mention that the winner will be the Executive chef.

I'm sure you did. I'm just saying that a true Exec does everything we've noted previously and more. I wasn't cutting you off, I was painting the picture even broader... and pointing out that no one in this competition would be considered adequate to that task in a Ramsay restaurant.

I seem to recall that in the first season the guy who won (skinny guy w/ a lot of tats) was given the cash & then Ramsay gave him the option of the running the new restaurant or being trained by Ramsay & Co. to be an exec chef. I remember the guy took the training option which he correctly stated was worth much more for him in the long run.

That's what I've always assumed happens: they get the cash & are given a meaningless title & then are basically a trainee @ one of his restaurants.

"I don't think the restaurant she worked at was owned by Ramsay. "

It wasn't. The only two that have had the option to work at one owned by GR was Michael and the winner of this season.
