Hells Kitchen anyone??

What was up with Ramsey sending Rosanne back into the line and bringing out Matt, then sending home Rosanne. A change of heart, I suppose, but I assumed that, at this point, the person who was sent home was not so "off the cuff". To me it was obvious that Rosanne was the weakest. It was the right choice, but it was surprising how it was done. Maybe for dramatic effect?

Ramsay seems to only pay casual respect to the concept of how people are removed from the show. Each week candidates are chosen by the contestants, but he all too frequently kicks off whomever he wants regardless if they were "selected" or not.

fyi: if you have fox reality channel, they reshow the current eps of hell's kitchen, so if you miss one, you should still be able to catch it there.

Decent to good episode. Bobby and Petrozza seem to be skating by on their experience waiting for the numbnuts to get weeded out. Corey and Christina are both still holding their own, but Corey is doing it more gracefully. Jen is reaching the end of how far you can coast on being only a "line chef". Matt... well, at least he has no one to hide behind anymore, right? If he turns in another week like this one, he goes home regardless of which team wins.

The teaser for next week was a little confusing. We saw a challange with everyone in blue and red, and then it looks like they whipped out the black uniforms for the service. I suspect that makes Jen safer (because of Matt) but it should be noted she was the only contestant NOT in the teaser in blacks.

My fav. chef was elminated tonight (Louross)

Mia, i agree with you, it was a good episode. You pretty much hit it right on the nail about each and every contestant. Do you have your top 3 picked?? I know it's still early but I have Petrozza, Corey, and Christina going in as the final 3...

I still think it is Bobby's game to lose. He has the most experience and the most discipline of the remaining 6.

I just don't see how you keep Corey out of the finals, she has yet to make a significant mistake and seems to be keeping it together, which is no small feat this late in the game.

I think Christina, Jen and Petrozza each of whom are a toss up from week to week. Jen knows how to hold down a station, just not how to keep her mouth shut. Petrozza has more experience in his little finger than either of the other two, but he is old. That leaves Christina, who has less practical experience but better training than either of the other two. If I had to guess, I'd order their departures thusly: Jen, who has burned all her bridges seem primed for a melt down, she is on the reality TV version of a suicide watch, she should be the first of this group. Petrozza is just starting to seem tired, doesn't he? Christina has finally made peace with Corey, and I think an ally is likely to strengthen her resolve and increase her stamina.

So if forced to pick a final three, it would be Bobby, Corey and Christina.

Matt... is now and has always been a mess. He should have been kicked off the week they put him on red... and he really hasn't done anything to change my opinion of that.

As for Louross... I know you like him, but you had to see the writing on the wall. He cooks with his head, and that just isn't good enough. You shake him up and his product falls apart. He needs a few years to calm down into things and he might be a good addition to Top Chef.

Jen might make it to the final 4 if Christina has a bad week, but she will be out of her league at that point. Otherwise, I think she's gone in the next 2 weeks. Everyone hates her and wants her gone. I think Bobby and Petrozza wanted to let her hang herself this week, but Louross messed it up. I think the top 3 are clearly Bobby, Corey and Petrozza.

For some reason, I think Christina is kind of hot.

Matt is a nutcase. I think he's just been kept around for ratings.

Jen is a beeeatchhh.

Seems as if Ramsay is testing Petrozza each week. As if to say, "ok, this guy can cook but can he run my kitchen???"

I think Ramsay likes Petrozza. The only thing he really ever gets on him about is his station being a mess.

i still can't get over petrozza's hen in pumpkin dish from the first episode. that was quite possibly the most disgusting thing i've ever seen and I just can't get over that with him. I can't imagine anyone with any cooking ability would serve something like that.

it had to be a joke, or the producers put him up to it or something.

Other than ratings, I really don't know why Matt is still around. I thought for sure after the dinner service and dripping sweat, he would have been a goner! Seems like next week he loses it SERIOUSLY! Should be hilarious! If he isn't gone after next week, then there is something seriously wrong with the show or Ramsay!! Jen is not gonna last either. I think it's gonna boil down to Bobby, Cory, and Christina or Petrozza. I think Ramsay also has some kind of liking for Petrozza too. Who knows? Curious as to who goes to the dinner with the winner from last season. It's getting down to the wire! Loving it!!

The Matt guy is just hanging around for comedic value. didn't he chop of a finger a few weeks ago? I can't recall if they ever found it.

Matt is a basket case. I wish the electrician hadn't left a few weeks ago. The feud those two had going was greatness.

I agree that the job is Bobby's to lose. He hasn't really done anything wrong to his point. The women are...ehh...blah. All in all, another good season. Ramsay is the heat.

I started watching this show the first season but didn't enjoy it at all. What bothers me the most is the talent level of the cast. It's so weak and that makes it uninteresting.

I've had the opportunity to dine at one of Ramsay's restaurants; the food was was excellent, but what impressed me the most was the service. It is by the far the best example of formal service I have ever experienced--textbook (and I've actually studied service... in a textbook). So I can certainly imagine what a meticulous perfectionist he would be. However, I don't buy all the yelling on HK. It seems contrived.

I'll have to make a point to check out the BBC shows.

It is staged. He doesn't act like that on his BBC shows. The F-Word and Kitchen Nightmares are much better than his 2 US shows.

He doesn't yell very often on the BBC version of Kitchen Nightmares. When he does it's usually because someone is being stubborn or gets caught lying. It never gets to the point of the fake screaming that's on Hell's Kitchen The US version of Nightmares is much more confrontational. The BBC version is more laid back and focused on fixing the restaurants. You can tell he's acting on his US shows.

For what seems like the tenth time this season, Matt has been removed from his station. Can we please send him home?

Pre-Vote, I would rank the performances thusly...

1. Petrozza
2. Bobby
3. Corey
4. Christina
5. Jen
6. Matt

I think that Christina and Jen performed at about the same level, but Christina had Matt tied around her ankle and should get a little leeway.

Bad night for everyone but Petrozza and Bobby. I think everyone was a little sleep deprived and cracked a little. No shame in that, but it is time to get back n your game.

I really can't believe Matt lasted that long. He was becoming a total joke. Even the rest of the cast was laughing at him once he got kicked off. He did provide for great tv though. Sorry can't write any more. I have a migraine.

I definately can see Petrozza being one of the final 2..for some reason, Bobby has not impressed me at all..Ramsay obviously sees something in him though...The next few weeks should be interesting..
