General Presidential Campaign: Trump vs Hillary

There was a request earlier today for new meme

US trade representative? You don't really believe that do you

Yes, that is part of the Trade Representative's job. Do you think the President is personally negotiating trade deals?

Humility? Yes that's been happening and humility has made us so successful so far.

Yes, the President needs to have enough humility to let the Trade Rep do his job. If he doesn't, then you have a Jerry Jones situation. Not good at all.

Not all negotiations aren't the same? Is that the strawman's argument? Thanks for clarifying that. Now that we know that then I'd much rather have Trump since negotiations can be so complicated.

If it's only a strawman, then you should be able to answer my prior question. What trade deals has Trump negotiated that would enable us to judge his capabilities as an international trade negotiator?

Deez, I'm not trying to be a smart ***. Your arguments so far are very weak. The logic you give on this subject is just a continuation of your lack of logic of being a never trumper, which Hillary benefits the most from.

If my arguments are so weak, then you shouldn't have to badmouth Obama to discredit me. His failures aren't relevant to Trump's merits.

By the way, the USTR is just another way of saying an advisory committee to the President.

Not at all. The Trade Rep has expertise in international trade law in general, the intricacies of trade agreements and customs with every nation on earth, and the countless competing interests in the US who are impacted by each and every US trade policy. The President is the boss, but he's not giving orders on the specifics for the same reason he's not telling every soldier when and where he should be firing his gun.

Deez, obviously you don't think Trump is a good negotiator. I'm sure that your hate for him has nothing to do with that.

Deez didn't say that at all. He said that, as president, Trump wouldn't be the one doing the negotiating.

I believe that Trump has excellent negotiating skills, and therefore would be much better as US Trade Representative than as president. I suspect Deez would agree.

Deez, obviously you don't think Trump is a good negotiator. I'm sure that your hate for him has nothing to do with that.

First, I don't hate him. I still have to chuckle at people who have spent the last 8 years saying that they don't hate Obama but merely have disagreement with him dismiss others' disagreement with Trump as mere hatred.

Second, I'm not saying Trump's a bad negotiator. He's obviously a good negotiator in his field. However, that doesn't make him a good negotiator regardless of the context and subject matter, and you can't point to anything that suggests he'd be good at negotiating trade deals. Furthermore, he isn't trying to get the job of the person who negotiates trade deals. He's trying to become President.

Hillary hasn't had a news conference in a year because her campaigne has decided that it's better to just weather the storm rather than expose her to questions about her servers and the Clinton foundation. Period. Why take a chance, especially when you continue to lead in the polls.

That one is head-to-head^

--------------------------------
In the 4-way, the National IBD/TIPP Poll is --
Trump 39% (Tie)
Clinton 39%
Johnson 12%
Stein 3%

A 4% shift toward Trump in a month

Same paper, same day, same article.
Different areas = different title

As usual, Joe Fan's post is flat-out false. The edition on the left was from early in the day (distributed everywhere) after Trump had a conciliatory meeting with the Mexican president. The edition on the right was from later in the day (distributed everywhere) after Trump gave a less conciliatory speech. Link.

As is the coincidence of the FBI releasing the damaging Hillary notes on
a Friday
afternoon
before Labor Day weekend
Totally a coincidence

It's sort of funny

It appears politics may have indeed been at play in Comey's choice not to recommend indictment
Should he be impeached?

1. Hillary Used TONS Of Different Devices. According to the FBI, Hillary used at least 13 mobile devices “associated with her two known phone numbers.” That blows up her original lie that she set up a private server so that she could use one email address and one device.

4. Hillary Hid 17,448 Work Related Emails From The State Department. The FBI reported that they’d “recovered from additional data sources and reviewed approximately 17,448 unique work-related and personal e-mails from Clinton’s tenure.” Hillary has claimed that she turned over all work-related emails and was fully transparent.

5. Hillary Wiped Her Email Again After The New York Times Reported Her Private Email Server. According to the FBI, one person interviewed “indicated he believed he had an ‘oh s***’ moment and sometime between March 25-31, 2015, deleted the Clinton archive mailbox from the PRN server and used BleachBit to delete the exported .PST files he had created on the server system containing Clinton’s emails.”

6. Hillary Said She Didn’t Think “C” on Emails Meant “Confidential.” Yes, seriously. The FBI reported, “When asked about the e-mail chain containing ‘(C)’ portion markings that State determined to currently contain CONFIDENTIAL information, Clinton stated she did not know what the ‘(C)’ meant at the beginning of the paragraphs and speculated it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order.” That’s patently insane.

8. Hillary Transmitted/Received Top Secret Classified Information. “The 81 classified email chains contained 8 email chains classified TOP SECRET,” according to the FBI, “37 email chains classified SECRET, and 36 email chains classified CONFIDENTIAL at the time they were sent.” So much for her “I never sent or received information marked classified” lie.

To be clear, with your name-calling you are saying --
It is not the same paper?
It is not the same day?
and, or
It is not the same article?
You wrote, and I quote, "Different areas = different title". This statement was false, and the implication that the WSJ was playing the story differently to different audiences was inaccurate.

Plus, if you zoom in close, you can see that the text of the article is different, too. So it is not the "same article."

Careful, that doesn't fit the intended narrative.

She may be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

Yes, and part of me would be pleased to see her lose. Even though I'm anti-Trump, and frequently rip him for obvious reasons, I am genuinely conflicted in this election. There's a reason why I won't vote for Hillary despite my hostility to Trump.

Totally understand. It seems like the USA loses either way.
Even my uber liberal Hillary-loving Facebook crowd was eerily silent today.
How much of this stuff does her campaign expect people to swallow?
I really want her to lose and go away, for ever. Like I don't want to hear her shrill voice ever again. But then, it would be Trump.
It is a "lady" or a tiger if there ever was one.

I think a Trump election might actually be better for America, because a lot of his stupidity will be stopped because of how much open opposition and contempt he generates, but Hillary will be able to enact her stupidity almost with impunity.
