General Presidential Campaign: Trump vs Hillary

Polling goes back to early August. Since then many republicans have returned to the fold. Good try deez

Always have a positive spin, MC. Too legit to quit? Generally, I've stopped relying much on polls. They're too "all over the map" to put a lot of stock in them.

So according to Wapo and that survey college educated white voters will vote for a woman who has been proven to be a liar, who knowingly violated the office of SecState, who said she didn't know what a C on a memo meant, Who couldn't remember nearly 40 incidences when asked by the FBI , Who participated in the destruction of personal devices ( if by knowledge alone) she used as SoS, who lied to families of slain Americans, geez etc etc etc
and Wapo still says educated white people will vote for her?

I wonder if that holds true for any HF poster?

So Mr D does this mean you do not put any stock in the poll you linked?

Some are partisan Democrats who wouldn't vote for any Republican in the first place. Others are voting for her because they have no serious alternative.

I put more stock in it than in the national polls, but no, I don't put much stock in it.

MrD
Just curious why you'd give this poll more stock?

Do they verify the respondents are actually registered voters?
Do they verify they are actually college educated?

why is this poll in your opinion actually more reflective than other national polls?

That shows up in the polling in the gap between registered voters and likely voters

I'm always going to put more stock in polls that are conducted on a state-by-state basis than a national poll, because the President is chosen through an electoral college.

I wonder if those who were going to use their vote in Texas as a protest vote will change their mind after seeing this poll?

They shouldn't. If Trump is seriously in danger of losing Texas, this race is over, unless Hillary is in danger of losing New York or California.

And that's countered by some of us who are voting for Trump to stop Hillary.

Yes, that's true, but how many in that class were open to voting for any Democratic nominee? Probably not many. How many who are going to vote for Hillary are like Seattle Husker and NJLonghorn who likely would have voted for a different Republican nominee? Probably more. Not enough to impact states like Washington and New Jersey but perhaps enough to impact states like Colorado, Virginia, Florida, and Ohio.

You want him to **** over the people like he ****** over his employees?

Please stop beclowning yourself. You have no idea how he treats him employees anymore than I do. If they are treated so badly, CNN would have them lined up to tell their awful stories on the air 24x7. Instead we get nothing on that front. Ditto all the women who he supposedly sexually denigrates - where are they???

The federal government spends like 5 drunken sailors on their last shore leave ever. Some sort of fiscal responsibility would be nice for a change. If you think that is asking for "the people" to be screwed over, I cannot reason with you.

The media bias in this election is the most blatant that I've ever seen. There's no question of whose side the media is on, and I'm sure double standards like this are rampant. What's interesting is that Hillary is showing far more signs of illness than McCain did. He acted like an angry Walmart greeter, but he didn't seem unhealthy.

JF, you do have some funny posts....

While watching this blatantly biased media coverage favoring Hillary, it is difficult to ignore the damage they may be doing to the liberal voters they favor. If Hillary wins and continues with the same Obama agenda, it is difficult to see any reason for improvement in "income disparity", black unemployment, education, fewer welfare recipients, GDP growth, ease of running a business (b/c of more regulation), national security, the U.S. standing among other nations, or improvement in the health insurance market. It is ironic that by helping Hillary win, the media actually hurts the liberal voter.

I could see how new regulations, executive orders, and supreme court changes would help the transgendered bathroom cause and other fringe movements, increase the national debt, reduce the right to keep and bear arms, and continue the terrible immigration policies currently in effect, but honestly, what has she proposed that would solve any of our country's problems?

Can you guess what they're building in Calais?

Can you also guess who is going to pay for it?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/09/06/work-to-begin-on-big-wall-at-calais-to-block-migrants/

"Construction is soon to begin on a "big new wall" in Calais following a surge in the number migrants trying to get across the Channel, the Government has announced.

The 13ft (4m) concrete barrier will be funded by Britain, at a cost of £2m, and will stretch over a half a mile (1km) along the main dual carriageway approaching the ferry port. Work is expected to begin as soon as this month......."
