I see a fair amount of 'public parking' on the map of the area...how much of it is safe?

Yes, it makes a difference on which vehicle I drive...I don't feel like walking from a hotel since it looks like the closest one is on the south side of the tracks (Hotel Vin).

There is a surface lot across the side street. While it appeared safe (we had no problems), one or more of us can always walk you to your car. HIC's muscles will scare anyone away, but if that fails, my caustic personality will quickly send them scrambling.

mb227, SabreHorn is correct. There's a public lot immediately south of Tolbert's. I've parked there before and had no issues at all. We'll see that you get back to your car safely.

Parking lot others described is accurate, is fairly large and well lit. I am a car guy and sensitive about where I park my sled. I have no concerns about parking there.

So, drive your Rolls Royce or the King Ranch Ford F-150 if you prefer! Either will be safe at Tolbert's and so will you!

Unless you weigh 280 lbs plus with less than 10% body fat or 200 pounds and run a sub 4.4 forty, your NIL chances are nil.
