Election Day

Cuban has the biggest case of inferiority complex and penis envy for Trump. He behaved like a pouting child all election cycle.

He wanted in the spotlight so bad he discussed his willingness to be her VP pick. Then he pulled the debate stunt to antagonize Trump.

The guy revealed himself even further as a pathetic child. Always liked the Mavs, never again while that clown is involved.

I love this one> the image caption was --
"Lady Gaga was photographed looking distraught in her Rolls Royce."

Depending on which stocks he held, it may have been a good move. Drug manufacturers are way up as fear of pricing controls dissipates. Tech companies are down across the board (immigration is necessary for their workforces). Not so surprisingly, check out the largest private prison companies (Corrections Corp and GEO Corp) who are up >40% since Trump won. Woohoo!

Newsweek printed and shipped
Expensive mistake

Newsweek had both prepared as these are souvenir issues. Like Sports Illustrated that can sell you a "Patriots' win" superbowl edition the day after the game. Destroying already printed versions is figured into the cost model.

Cher told some group of protesters in NYC to "keep on fighting". Keep on fighting what exactly?

Maybe the Russians can launch Cher out into space for us. She said she'd leave the planet if Trump won.

Why young people shouldn't be allowed to vote:

As they mature and start paying their bills, half will become republican. Notice it's rare that Republicans hardly ever switch to democrats. And when they do they are morons like Charlie Crist. Some just never mature and are life long Liberals (some right here on this very board)

Democrats protesting democracy.

This is the very reason Trump is President. It's like Obama is quietly cheering them on to continue.

Yes, yes, we get it. All people who ever do anything that you don't like are, by definition, liberals. If Clinton had won, none of Trump's supporters would have grumbled. They are inherently perfect, as is their leader.

Do you remember all the conservatives taking to the street protesting when Obama won? Neither do I!

Yahoo says there's still a way to put Hillary in the WH. I think I heard this bandied about back in 2000 also.

For die-hard Democrats holding out hope that they won’t have to live through a Trump presidency, there is a last, incredibly long shot for them latch on to — a surprise twist in the Electoral College. Though Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 200,000, Trump has won the minimum of 270 electoral votes necessary to be elected president. As of late Wednesday, he had 290 to Clinton’s 228. According to the Constitution, chosen electors of the Electoral College are the real people who will vote for president, when they meet on Dec. 19 in their respective state capitals. However, there is technically nothing stopping any of the electors from voting their conscience and refusing to support the candidate ...

Twitter is just a cesspool.
Twitter is just a part of the web, which means part cesspool and part other things, some of which are good. I have seen the comment "Twitter is dumb" and similar things. No, Twitter is not dumb, people are dumb. Technology is just a vehicle and at times like this the worst parts are viewed more than the good ones. Twitter is actually very useful and valuable for some things but people who don't understand technology dismiss it, I guess because that is easier than making the effort to understand.

The real story of this election? The turnout was significantly down across the board. Trump wouldn't have beaten McCain or Romney. For that matter, Hillary would have struggled.

Total votes cast in POTUS elections:
2016: 126,061,003 (Google)
2012: 128,768,072 (Wikipedia)
2008: 131,071,135 (Wikipedia)

That's a sad story about voter turnout.

There is an old saying that goes like this - "If you're not a liberal at age 25, you have no heart; if you're not a conservative at age 35, you have no brain." We'll see how these youngsters change as they start having families and paying bills.

The Federal gov't has no restrictions on an elector changing their vote But i thought most states do require the electors to vote the way the popular vote.

Liberalism is a luxury buy. The kids, the ones protesting and needing safe spaces and such, are coddled by parent's money. Once they have to pay their own way things will change.

There's no chance this will be reversed in the official electoral vote. At 279 with AZ, MI, and NH outstanding, the final count will be something like 305-232.

That's far too decisive of a victory for a reversal to fly. The legal battle would be massive.

I know anti-Trump Folks want to believe there's a shred of hope left, but there isn't. Deal with it. Reversing a 70+ point win would destroy the whole system. Not gonna happen.

That's pure unadulterated click-bait. Most states DO have rules in place for electoral college representatives to vote according to their winner take all rules. 2 Washington State electoral college reps that happen to be Bernie supporters have vowed not to vote for HRC. They would face significant jail time and fines were that to happen according to a local article.

Most electors say this crap for the attention

Once the electoral situation is taken into consideration, this election takes on a different look.

Looks like Hillary had ~ 6M less votes than 2012 Obama. More telling, however, is that she underperformed 2012 Obama in the key states of Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin. She was about even with 2012 Obama in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, Nevada, and New Hampshire. And she even beat 2012 Obama Florida (but lost to Trump there anyway).
