Dumb Political Correctness

I think that's probably a lot more true if the boy is circumcised. That is a definite game changer when it comes to "urination practices." That didn't really occur to me until Deez, Jr. was born. (They don't circumcise infants in German hospitals.)

I can only speak to one side of that

I only know both sides, because the only circumcision facility in the Wiesbaden area looked like a Muslim butcher shop. I wasn't going to let somebody in that filthy dump cut on my son. His pediatrician discouraged it anyway.

That's tough. I have thoughts but its your son, so I dont want to cross that line. Instead, I will make this admission. As a kid, I did engage in "playful urination practices." For example, when I first got to Colorado, I couldnt wait to get out there and spell my name in the snow. The girls were all "EEEEwww." But we all know they were just jealous (#ThanksFreud).

It appears to me that California has passed SB 219 that can give jail time to care givers who use wrong gender pronouns for senior trans-gender patients in long-term care facilities, after they have been notified of the preferred pronoun.

The law is now "Enrolled" and is waiting for Gov. Moonbeam's signature.

Hopefully the ACLU will jump on this. Clearly this is a First Amendment issue.

Income inequality...not sure that was one of Kaepernick's primary issues.
It should be. I maintain that most of the challenge facing minorities is not their skin color but their poor economic situation. While racism certainly exists, the problems that most black people complain about are not the product of racism but of terrible education and limited resources. Substantial police presence and active patrolling are the result of crime, crime is the result of limited legitimate economic prospects, limited economic prospects are a result of limited capital and poorly prepared workers.

If Kapernick and his ilk really wanted to do something, they would all get together and form a bank dedicated to the needs of inner cities and they would all chip in $500K and capitalize a lending institution that would make sure that black people got residential loans and business loans. They would make sure that what they argue are underserved communities of color get served properly, according to their standards.

They should open their first branch in Detroit and fix this city. They should sink their capital into fixing the issues (education, home ownership, jobs, etc). They should show the rest of the nation how its done. They should give us a model that we can follow to fix inner cities.

but that won't ever happen. it's easier for them to point fingers and scream about someone else fixing the problems they identify. And the hard truth is that inner city residents typically have really poor records of repayment. They have limited resources and their track record makes them a very risky bet. You won't see it because just like the rest of us, Kapernick wants to hold on to his money. Not to mention when this project doesn't pan out and instantly create jobs and wealth, they will have to face the music and they'll have to admit that it isn't the game, its' the players.

As expected, the owner of America's Team confirms his stance against players kneeling during the national anthem. Nice job, Jerry.

“I do not think the place to express yourself in society is as we recognize the American flag,” Jones said.

The Cowboys owner also noted that it’s a time to recognize the American troops “and all the people that have made this great country” and given the players the opportunity “to even be there in front of the nation” due to to their sacrifice for our freedom.

“That’s not the place to do anything other than honor the flag and everybody that’s given up a little for it,” Jones concluded.
