Marvel has unveiled its new characters ‘Snowflake’ & ‘Safespace’… who are "non-binary bully-fighting superheroes." The magical twins are “hyper aware of modern culture” and see their super powers as a “post-ironic meditation on using violence to combat bullying." Safespace, who identifies as male, is able to create a defensive force field – perhaps to shield people from being mis-gendered.

PC has ruined comics. First Batman and robin, Then Green Lantern turns gay, now this.

Why doesn't Marvel buy the rights to the Ambiguously gay duo.

PC didn’t ruin comics, Bill, TV and movies did. But it never occurred to you that all your heroes were single men in pantyhose, boots, and a mask?

Yep. And if an adult man told me, "I like to read stories and watch movies about masked, muscular men in tights and with a clearly-defined bulge fighting each other," I would certainly have a strong presumption that said adult man was gay.

When I see ridiculous stuff like this, I have to dig up the article just to make sure it's real and to see how screwed up people are for being like this and even moreso, how screwed up the media is for printing it. Link.

Many people don't realize that, in addition to killing the educated and over-30 crowd, the Red (Communist) Khmers (ethnic Cambodians) aka the "Khmer Rouge" also had a racial hatred component. They went after the Sino Cambodians (Chinese ethnics) and the Viet Cambodians especially hard. Part of their genocide was based on ridding Cambodia of non-Khmer ethnic groups. They looked to the distant past and wanted to restore the great Khmer kingdom (which actually was a great ancient kingdom--the builders of Angkor Wat, I think...).

Sort of a blank spot in history. You would think this was the kind of story cries out for treatment by Hollywood, but you would be wrong. There was one film made about Pol Pot, but it was written, directed and produced by Brits. Maybe the reason they stayed away is because they couldnt make it without making the NYT look bad? Sort of like how they have always stayed away from the story of the Holodomor. I have always wondered about this, especially in light of multiple Holocaust docs and films that are produced every single year. It makes for quite the contrast.

It's not as yucky to me, but it probably is as yucky to the women. And it would never work. Once Salma Hayek had my action (and she'd definitely get it before Mila Kunis would), I don't think she'd be willing to share it with anyone else.

And the supposedly anti-racist USSR, in effect, had a clear racial/ethnic hierarchy with the Russians at the top (shared by the Georgians when Stalin ran the show). The Holodomor was the Russians (led by a very, very angry Ukranian madman--Trotsky) starving the Ukranians.
