Crystal Meth

Here is my response...... Just read the statement I made, the whole thing. I did not say, yay for prescription drugs!! I don't do ANY drugs, so, I don't advocate ANY drug use, except in extreme cases, where life and limb are at stake.

Meth, in its powder form, is often "cut" up to 50%. so the drug dealers can boost their profit. Ice is uncut, and much more dangerous.

How many times do we have to hear about some moron who "needed" the pain medication, then can't stop taking them?

The list of problems with a medication are WAY longer than the one problem I had BEFORE I took the "magic pills" prescribed by a doctor.

Did you know that all medicines used to be legal? Did you know that the only reason a drug needs a pharmacist is due to the fact that is has been directly connected to a particular disease, or condition?

So, if the big pharm companies invent a new drug, but it doesn't cure a known disease, it is worth less to them. Once they tie it to a medical condition, they can write a prescription, it's cost is covered by Insurance, and everybody gets happy and paid.

Elvis was killed by prescription medication, Anna Nicole Smith, and her son, killed by prescription meds. Heath Ledger, prescription meds again. And how many more???

Don't twist my words around. Put down the bong, and concentrate on the pretty words.........

In the 1800- 1900's there were no prescriptions. Tonics were available over the counter which contained Morphine, or Cocaine, and held promise to cure anything from headaches to diarrhea. Coca Cola contained Cocaine until it was "regulated" by the federal government.

In Mexico, to this day, you can walk into a pharmacy, and just ask for the medication you want, no prescription, they will give it to you. I'm not sure if this is morally correct, but, it seems the Mexicans are much more "free" in that respect.

I'm puzzled now. I am beginning to see a pro- drug voice coming from this board. That could be the only dissent against a statement like "any drug other than prescription is bad, and even They are misused much of the time."

So, you are saying, "what the heck is wrong with weed!!" or "Hey, I LIKE my crack! What is wrong with that!" Maybe it's "Wow, man, like LSD changed my LIFE! This guy is NUTS"

I can't decide. All I see is a bunch of people making one line comments about something they read one line on. Is this the State School Board? Hmmmmm....

Do you guys work for Fox News or something? Misquote, and then take the statement out of context? Either that, or you are attorneys. Take any word, skew the meaning, and use it as evidence against the plaintiff.

What is your argument against this statement, specifically?

Is it not true that Drugs are bad, and ruining the brains of Millions of Americans Daily?

Is it not also true that Prescription Drugs, while highly useful in specific instances, can also be abused to the point of Mental Retardation, or even Death?

What is your argument against these statements?

I agree there are always two or more sides to any argument. I can't tell you how many times I have heard an individual in a bar putting down the ladies from MADD.

They probably never have had a friend, or family member killed by a drunk driver, or lost a person who WAS the drunk driver, and was killed, or killed others.

Do what you want, America is the land of Freedom, and everyone has the right to the pursuit of happiness, or at least they did when the country was founded.

Now, just TRY to make some whiskey, or crack, or meth at your house. See how far your right to pursuit of happiness takes you.

It's all about making the "man" more money. Whatever it takes, whether that means making something legal, illegal, taxable, or non taxable, it is all decided by the higher ups.

It is good to know that the minds that control these decisions are so sharp, like some of you, and our President Bush. I couldn't sleep at night if I thought the plight of every human was left to their own personal ideology. Thank goodness everyone here is able to decide everything for me.

By the way, my electric bill is due, which one of you "decision makers" should I send it to???
 
The statement remains the same, and, by the way, DOH!

So, what about aspirin, menthol rubs, sinus meds, etc??? All right, so, there are medications that you can take that are helpful 99% of the time, without harmful side effects.

You guys are killing me. What happened to the original argument?

You guys don't even have a valid point here. You have no statistics. You are aimlessly wandering around putting down other people's viewpoints without bringing any valid point to the argument.

That just goes to show how damaging the meth can be. You do a little, then you think you are a genius. All of a sudden everyone around you is an idiot. Why did you not realize what a bunch of idiots you were surrounded by before? Because it's YOU that's the idiot. Your friends all see it, but you don't. You are way above them looking down. You don't realize how messed up you are. Rehab is not for you, no sir, you are a genius!! There is nothing wrong with you. It is Everyone Else who is messed up, not you!!

My original post was a comment upon the fact that Colton Pitonyak, a University of Texas Student, high on Meth, Killed, and dismembered his girlfriend's body. He then took off with another girl to Mexico, and was subsequently arrested and charged with multiple crimes.

Meth is bad.

Can you accept this simple argument, or do you want to bring up lost ancient civilizations, and the biblical references tied to them?
