Big chance for states to stand against unconstitutional edicts. Several paths to justice and freedom here. Some one in a position of power just has to discover some nerve.
 
I’m a layman when it comes to the law. I don’t understand why one circuit court can dissolve the stay of an equal court. Logically you’d think it would take a higher court. I suppose it’s because of how the consolidation process works,

[Note: my only legal experience comes from screening calls as a child pre-caller ID for a defense attorney/municipal judge] They are differing legal opinions from equal levels of judicial authority. That’s normal. California is different than South Dakota and Florida. The Court will fix this for the ***** grabbing caucus.

Coach, ordinarily you'd be right. It looks like a simple split in the circuits that would be resolved by the Supreme Court. That isn't what happened here though. In this case, there were a bunch of lawsuits against the mandate that got consolidated into the Sixth Circuit, so the Fifth Circuit case that resulted in the stay is now rolled into the Sixth Circuit case. That's why they were able to dissolve the stay imposed by the Fifth Circuit.

Like I said above though, the plaintiffs could ask for an en banc hearing by the entire Sixth Circuit rather than the three-judge panel that looked at this case. If that doesn't happen, then the next step is the Supreme Court. I'm not entirely sure what they'll do. You can assume what they'll do, by keep in mind that the Sixth Circuit panel had two Republicans on it.

Because this case is a consolidation, the procedure is weird. From the link it sounds like the court considered hearing the case en banc right away (without a three-judge panel) and chose not to do that. However, usually an en banc hearing is a rehearing done after the three-judge panel has already ruled. In other words, it's possible that they could consider it again.

I always say if I made a PA mid flight saying people could remover their masks, 99%, at least, would do it.

That would be the one time they wished they took their headphones off to listen to me.
 
I said this before. Using folks who are likely to die anyway for a Covid metric is dumb and likely not representative for society at large.

When elders are infected, “other medical problems flare up,” Ayati said. “For example, if they have heart problems, heart failure is going to start to manifest. If they have diabetes, it’s more likely to be uncontrolled.”

They have no problem saying, "Sure, that stage 4 cancer patient would have died...but not as quickly."

So stupid.

I saw something last night saying that Fauci was part of the situation that the movie Dallas Buyers Club was based on. It said he was part of the reason the European treatment wasn't allowed to treat AIDS here in the early 90's. Wouldn't surprise me if true.

Comorbidity. many of the stats show that somewhere between 85-90% of deaths in the Over 50 population had comorbidity. And we already know that 85%+ of deaths are of people Over 50. So roughly 75% of all deaths were people who already had significant underlying health conditions and age against them.
