CDC Vaccine Advisory Panel to Meet on Severe Condition Linked to J&J's COVID-19 Vaccine

A panel of experts who advise the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on vaccines is meeting Thursday to discuss updates to a severe condition linked to Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The panel will listen to presentations by CDC officials on thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), which U.S. drug regulators say has a “causal relationship” with the jab, according to a draft agenda for the meeting.

The syndrome is a combination of blood clots and low blood platelet levels.

Concern over patients getting the syndrome after getting the vaccine led to a near-nationwide pause in administering the shot in the spring, but the pause was lifted after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) determined the benefits of the vaccine outweighed its risks.

Since then, more evidence has emerged linking the syndrome to the vaccine.

Researchers with the CDC last month found people who got the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) shot were far more likely to experience the syndrome when compared to people who got a Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Heart Inflammation Risk Higher From Moderna Vaccine Than COVID-19 for Those Under 40: Study

My concern is, this problem won't diminish (the virus, will diminish over time). As time goes on the issue may get worse. That's a concern

This is why I think it's crazy to force this on children, and it nauseates me to see idiots on Facebook posting pictures of their young children getting it. I got the vaccine, but I'm a 45 year old man. COVID could kill me. It most likely wouldn't, but there is a meaningful risk that it would. The odds of children getting myocarditis are pretty slim, but it's still a real risk. Why force that risk on them to protect them from something less likely to kill them than a bathtub?

I agree with this, mostly. Mostly. :)

Coach, you do know that you most likely voted for a ***** grabber too, right? I didn't like either, but I voted for the ***** grabber who opposed court packing and then took a shower.
IF I voted for a ***** grabber it was an isolated incident. It would pale in comparison to what Trump has admitted to on recording. Or, as Sheriff Justice would say, it's baby **** alongside what this dude's doing.....how's that for hijinx?

Just so it's clear to the token chicks here, there's apparently a "one free ***** grab" rule in Oklahoma.

There's wiggle room for misunderstandings.

Yeah, I hate those kinds of misunderstandings. You're just minding your own business, and out of nowhere suddenly your finger is in the vagina of a woman you barely know. It just makes things awkward for everybody, doesn't it?

That's also why even before COVID, I always carried hand sanitizer around when I went to Oklahoma. I never knew when one of those "misunderstandings" was going to happen and I was going to need it. Wouldn't want to catch leprosy or anything like that.

Actually, one person can be a false accuser, statistically. 22+ are typically not.

Typically not, but this isn't typical. You don't think Democratic operatives could get 22 women to lie (not even under oath) about being sexually assaulted by Donald Trump? Really? I could find 22 and probably five or six dudes on one block of downtown Austin. I'm not saying that happened, but it's not implausible at all.

If you put a gun to my head and forced me to guess, I'd say that probably a few (not most) of Trump's accusers are telling the truth and that Tara Reade is telling the truth. Though there wasn't a witness to the allegation, there was evidence that she at least referred to it near the time it was alleged to have occurred. (To my knowledge, that isn't the case with any of Trump's accusers.)

The difference is there is no recording of Biden admitting to this action. Kind of significant.

The presence of Trump's comment makes Trump more likely to have grabbed somebody. I never dismissed the comment as "locker room talk" or assumed that he was speaking hypothetically. Of course, it's possible, but I don't believe that he was. Based on context, I think he was speaking from experience.

However, the presence of Trump's comment doesn't diminish the likelihood of Biden's guilt. Again, I think both men are guilty.

What does it all have to do with Biden being a disaster on covid? And with Biden and Harris politicizing the jab until they got in office. Some plan. Force people to take a drug. 'Merica!

BLM riots, destroying police cars, etc., no arrests. Police stand down in NYC.

Sit-in to protest a stupid *** mandate to be vaccinated to eat at crappy restaurants? Well, that warrants 5-10 cops show up to arrest them.

Total BS. How do you defend it, libs*?

* I wanted to say something more inflammatory. Use your imagination, except I don't think libs have much.

The state has a vaccine mandate. This is baby **** alongside Kyrie Irving's vaccine protest. He can't enter the gym that the team plays in. $381k per game. Failure to get vaccinated could cost Nets star Kyrie Irving more than $381K per home game

There you are right on cue to defend this as if they were committing felonies, like the blm rioters. Cops do nothing while rioters destroy property. But <GASP> 5-10 show up to arrest vaccine protesters. But, you go ahead and defend one mandate while disregarding breaking actual laws.

Mandates are un-American and stupid. Anyone in favor of them is not to be trusted.

Right on cue. Only if husker was still here, if he hadn't taken his bat and ball and cried all the way home, he'd defend it, too.

If a private business asks you to leave and you don't you're trespassing. I haven't read the link and don't plan to. I'm not defending it. The city has a vaccine mandate. Simply a fact. You're extra fiesty today. Were you today years old when you figured out that Quinn Ewers was 4th on the depth chart at tOSU and that giving a 20 year old college lineman access to $50,000 annually will result in serious gaming and pizza purchases, not significant hard work to get better to play on Sundays?

Here's the thing. I'm not saying they shouldn't have been arrested. But, the rioters should have been arrested for worse for rioting. Very escalated response to non violent sit-inners. Wouldn't you agree?

Your question about Ewers is written like a meth affected okie. English please, not Okielish.
