Coronavirus

.I'm more concerned with RESPONSIBILITY.

Come on, Bubba, it's the federal government. NO ONE ever takes responsibility for anything, whether Democrat or Republican. It's all about finger pointing and what can I say to get me on TV.

Turning a problem that includes the possible death of thousands of citizens is incomprehensible, but then we are talking about career politicians who have never done anything constructive or beneficial but line their own pockets.

Today, April 17, 2020, Texas Governor Abbott announced that all schools in the state will remain closed through the remainder of the school year. The Governor added that it would be unsafe for students to gather in schools for the foreseeable future and that this includes public, private and higher education schools.

Deaths divided by Confirmed Cases is your Case Fatality Rate. And the latest numbers have it at 5% nationally. Are those numbers accurate? Of course not. Why? That's because we don't know how many people have contracted COVID19. Confirmed cases is not all unknown cases.

Can’t stop a virus this contagious. Unfortunate but true.

So assuming the denominator is low, it would appear those stats are inflated. We also don't know how liberal they are in applying COVID-19 as a cause of death. Well, I don't know.

So every expert has explained that people get it, but don’t get tested or are asymptomatic. The death rate will be much lower than 4%. That is MSM rhetoric against Trump.

Friday, Jan. 13, 2017: The joint Obama-Trump transition teams run an exercise for pandemic preparedness.

The outgoing Obama team runs the Trump transition team through a series of pandemic-scenarios. The transition documents, obtained by POLITICO, show that the purpose of the exercise is to familiarize the incoming team with “domestic incident management policy and practices” in the face of major crises.

Key takeaways from the exercise include: (1) a collective understanding of the science and the disease must drive response decisions; (2) days and even hours are paramount in order to build as much lead time as possible; (3) a coordinated and unified national response and message is necessary; and (4) “medical countermeasure strategy is key for success,” including social distancing and addressing shortages in ventilators and personal protective equipment.

Trump administration attendees include: Steven Mnuchin, Rep. Mike Pompeo, Wilbur Ross, Betsy DeVos, Dr. Ben Carson, Elaine Chao, Stephen Miller, Marc Short, Reince Priebus (resigned), Rex Tillerson (fired), Gen. James Mattis (fired), Rep. Ryan Zinke (resigned), Sen. Jeff Sessions (resigned), Sen. Dan Coats (fired), Andrew Puzder (not confirmed), Dr. Tom Price (resigned), Gov. Rick Perry (resigned), Dr. David Shulkin (fired), Gen. John Kelly (resigned), Rep. Mick Mulvaney, Linda McMahon (resigned), Sean Spicer (fired), Joe Hagin (resigned), Joshua Pitcock (resigned), Tom Bossert (fired), KT McFarland (resigned), Gen. Michael Flynn (awaiting criminal sentencing), Gary Cohn (resigned), Katie Walsh (resigned), and Rick Dearborn (resigned).

I heard that Andrew Sullivan is getting hammered online for that virus article that blamed China instead of Trump.

I'm starting to think Fauchi is a dumbass, and yes I misspelled his name but I don't give a crap. If he can't see the value of people getting sick and getting the antibodies then as a doctor he sucks.

It's a misrepresentation of what he said, the truth is he he is right. Let the kids go back to school get it, and get over it. People who have health issues and people who are old, should still quarantine until they can get either a vaccine or a transfusion of antibodies.

US COVID19 case fatality rate is over 4%.

In Michigan, it’s over 6%.

That's because Corona virus is now killing people with guns, with cars and even with electric toasters in the bath tub. I even heard Corona even slit a mans throat because he owed it money.

Weill if it was worth a damn I'm sure they would have put that knowledge to good use.

March-May 2017: President Trump proposes cutting over $277 million in pandemic-preparedness funding. Congress, in bipartisan action, rejects the funding cuts.

President Trump proposes cutting $136 million from the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (responsible for tracking outbreaks of disease), $65 million from the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases (a center that fights emerging infectious diseases), and $76 million from the CDCs Center for Global Health (a center dedicated to fighting international health threats).

With bipartisan support, Congress rejects the funding cuts. “Cutting the Centers for Disease Control, I think, leaves you very vulnerable and the American people very vulnerable,” Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) states in a House budget hearing. “Sometime in the president’s term, you will have a pandemic.”

What would the CDC have done with $100s millions more? All they did was ask those in charge to shut companies and schools down?

They also kept companies from making ventilators, producing tests, producing medications, etc. All they did was shut activity down. They did nothing to actually help.

Apparently that money was wasted given their performance. Maybe Trump was right after all.
