Can he be annoyingly narcissistic? Sure. But that is irreverent. What is relevant is what the man does.

Coming from someone — me — that despised Trump for “decades,” I will go out on a limb and predict that when this country looks back at the pandemic of 2020 in 10 years, the consensus (by those who are honest with themselves) will be that Donald J. Trump lead us through Hell and brought this country successfully to the other side.

The second-guessing of today is nauseating to me — and the intentions of some in the media and politicians like Pelosi and Schumer — is pure evil. They don’t give a D*** about this country. They only care about power...which is astounding to me. But perhaps it shouldn’t be.

Trump is not perfect, but his intuition is simply extraordinary. I just hope that one day people like you will find the courage to acknowledge it. But candidly, that expectation is probably unrealistic.

Right now is a great time for opportunities. Rethinking your business, readdressing priorities, and simply assessing the meaning of life. This quarantine WILL end in May! Perhaps the 4th which is my own and Monahorns hope. Maybe the 30th. Either way it will end. Afterwards demand for Gas and Diesel will shoot up exponentially. Think I’ll hit W Texas again as soon as possible. Maybe OK later on. Point is life WILL resume. I think we see inflation set in but the Fed will be able to temper it. In 2021 and beyond it may get worse but I cannot predict the success central bankers will have. IMHO, physical Gold and BTC will be imperative to own! Land will also be a good investment. Depending on the fed, there will be winners in stocks too. I have done really well the last few years in the market but I can see storm clouds looming there. These posters touting the demise of America will not get what they want. A nationalized economy and BMI. That won’t happen here too many baby boomers and generation x members! Let the younger stronger just get over it because they can. Do that City by city until we have the entire US covered.

That is the plan on a slower schedule. Unfortunately polls suggested people wanted quarantine first and the politicians followed. Remember the same people were hoarding TP. You can only move the herd so fast.

More testing and contact tracing. They’re going to hire thousands of people in Massachusetts to do the work to open up that state. It’s how it gets done. GOP governors in Utah and ND doing same.

That’s great. Without China disinformation and poor performance of the CDC, the nation could have pushed the curve down even further. However, I am not certain that with the slow burn we are currently embarking upon it would make a difference in total deaths after 18 months. We won’t know until all the variables such as number of asymptotic cases are known.

We should be storming out of our houses and holding our government accountable. This generation would undoubtedly prefer to be subjects of the King George. We have lost our love of freedom.

I have to note that I agree with LH in principle. We do still need more testing and contact tracking (of some version).

Don't agree on all the specifics he mentions. But testing and focused quarantine is the only way to go.

Until you look at "death from all causes" you really can't make true statements about the need to lock society down. The statistics we have today are biased towards assigning cause to COVID.
