Coronavirus

Bubba is the superspreader of manure when it comes to hyperbole and misinformation. Today's posts are a prime example.

I would have put him on Ignore some time ago, but I don't watch enough msnbc to get a clear enough picture of what a far left BlueAnon anti Trump person looks like.

The reply about a mega concert's vaccine requirements belongs in Classics, with photos and all.

Have I called you any derogatory name? But, like I said, go ahead. It just makes you look small.

Wait...did @horninchicago just admit he's "small" by calling others names? He lives in a perpetual state of projection which is likely why he consistently references challenging others to physical confrontations. I'd say that's a High School mentality but most HS age kids have now moved beyond that level of juvenile behavior.

Huh
If you read thar CDC report it does not appear to clear the Pfizer vaccine. Just extends the emergency authorization. Page 12
Maybe i am reading it wrong

I"m not saying lollaloplooza wasn't a superspreader event. I'm saying they had protocols and their clientele are the kind that would lkely be 90% vaccinated so that number that the concert organizers provided seems reasonable.

Still waiting for someone to post the Sturgis vaccination guidelines. Thanks in advance.

hic, you're easily triggered these days. Maybe switch to decaf?
And you apparently ignore that fake cards were being sold just a short distance away from the gates, just as they were in New York.

And, *checking notes* we continue to see spread by the vaccinated, including Jesse Jackson and wife being hospitalized. We have football coaches who were vaccinated by mandate stupidity who are testing positive.

Protocols are meaningless in large gatherings. It ALL comes back to what level of risk people are willing to assume. "Protocols" just reminds me of the warranty scene in Tommy Boy...and yet the left laps it up as though they have some magical elixir.

What are the issues with not approving all three of the ones used in the USA at the same time? Tells me there are still concerns.

Pfizer was the first through the door so it's not surprising that they have the necessary data accumulated (including months of follow-up) to get approval. J&J didn't get it's EUA for 2 months after Pfizer. Moderna was a 2-4 weeks after Pfizer so they should be following shortly though you might have a point about that one with the FDA has been reported to be looking at the Myocardiopathy side effect more closely.

My wife is in a hospital in San Antonio, in the oncology ward. They're putting Covid cases on the same floor, in another "wing". You can see the sign for the other "wing" 50' down the hall from the oncology ward. There's no door separating the two depts. Seems like a good idea to mix Covid patients with folks with severely compromised immune systems to me.

The ER actually put a Covid patient IN the oncology ward. The mistake was quickly caught and the patient was moved, but every caregiver who been exposed could no longer see oncology patients. My wife's nurse changed mid-shift and that was why. It's a cluster. The hospital is over run with Covid patients. I heard a caregiver say "80-some odd" have been admitted.

Delta variant seems to be a real *** kicker.

Prayers for you and your wife, Clean.

Dude, any protocols are better than no protocols. I'm not defending lollapalooza. But, just pointing out they had some protocols and a population that was more apt to be vaccinated. Still waiting for some Sturgis protocols.

1) that would be dudette to you
2) crappy protocols are worse than no protocols precisely because of the false sense of security
3) Sturgis uses the primary protocol of 'use common sense as you live your life.'
4) It amazes me the false sense of security people like you are getting from something that does not even prevent someone from becoming ill. There was a time where vaccines actually did *checks notes* prevent illnesses.

1. Duly noted. All apologies.
2. LOL.
3. Common Sense...Killing it!
4. You're overusing the "checks notes" gag. It's cute once per week. After that it's a crutch. A good flu vaccine is 50% and it keeps you from getting it as bad. This one is turning out to be about 70%ish against the new variants but well over 95% against hospitalization and 99% against death. So, yeah, even with waning immunity, it's still working like a Lincoln Riley offense.

LOL at flu numbers. I never have gotten one of those. Never will as long as it can be avoided. I'm long overdue for a bout of knock-me-on-my-*** flu...they usually hit about once every seven years. Last one I can remember was 2007 or maybe 2008.

Amazing things happen when one has a functioning immune system.

And for someone like you that CLAIMS to be in the medical field, you should know that a raw claim of "200% increase" is utterly useless without a cite to actual numbers. After all, even just going from 100 to 300 is a 200% increase...but still meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Making it worse is you linked to a site that is about as uber-liberal and fear-mongering as it gets...

Edited to add...nothing in the photo linked in that tweet even says that HAD/HAVE 'rona...it is pure unadulterated fear-mongering. Being sick in this day and age does NOT mean the sniffles.

Actually, any significant increase in South Dakota will pale in comparison to the numbers in the states that these lovely Freedom loving Americans take said virus back to.

Regarding your #4, there's a reason that vaccines eventually did prevent illnesses. It's because everyone got them. Certain diseases had nowhere to run amuck except remote areas of central Asia or Sub-Saharan Africa.

There are breakthrough cases of pretty much anything. Mumps is a good example, as some can still end up with things like encephalitis if they are not vaccinated. Hep B has changed so much since the vaccine came out that a lot of people still catch it, but are relatively asymptomatic forever. The bottom line is that it's preferable to not being vaccinated.

Changes in Influenza Vaccination Requirements for Health Care Personnel in US Hospitals

Some big hospitals mandated influenza. I lost an employee over our mandate 11/2019.

Even the Houston Comical, via WaPo, is noting the potential issue with Moderna...Too soon to know: U.S. officials probe whether Moderna vaccine is linked to higher risk of uncommon side effect

Yet those of us who have some concerns are somehow tarred as being the evil ones because we won't just allow some unproven crap to be injected into our bodies...

U.S. states with most mobile homes 2020 | Statista

I mean Oklahoma has more per capita but a Texan making fun of Oklahoma for mobile homes is like aggy picking on sand aggy or Applewhite giving carrot top hell for being a ginger.
Per capita being the operative term here. So, I think "Mobilehoma" will probably be here for years to come.

And, those things aren't alike at all, which is why most of us laugh off your covid BS. Sad to say, I admit, I fall for the BS and respond quite often. My mistake.

This is unserious fodder. I know deez is f'n with me. I'm poking back, admittedly poorly as it's part of the gag.

As a great philosopher once said, "lighten up, Frances".
