Coronavirus

Looked at testing #s. Texas testing jumped about 15,000 - 20,000 more per day starting November 7. It is starting to slowly trend down again, but still about 10,000 above daily testing before November 6.

To understand the case reports we need to see %positive rates and we also need to distinguish between symptomatic cases, asymptomatic cases, and past cases where dead COVID is found in the sample.

Increase in ICU admittals shows there has been an increase overall, but we need to think through all the data not just the headlines on Google or Yahoo feed.

My errands this am included Lowes, pick up the dry cleaning and Starbux. Everything was packed - Lowe's did not have a cart, i had to go into pkg lot for one. The SBUX line was retarded, but i had to return some texts so I just inched along making replies. This in spite of the County Judge (a sort of AOC wannabe) screaming "We're all gonna die if you dont stay inside! And when everyone dies, it will be Abbott's fault!" Backed up by local TV which has been screaming in unison "We're all gonna die if you dont stay inside!" The owner of the laundry is a guy i grew up with, he thinks people generally have just become numb to all the dire warnings

This is AZ and is consistent with what I saw today
People are out en masse despite the latest round of dire warnings

Covid already ran through AZ.

I think the asymptomatic spread is what differentiates this from flu, h1n1, etc.
The study I included shows that asymptotic did not infect others. Past SAR, flu do not. Why do we assume this is completely different than other similar viruses? That is a leap that should require a rct. We have not quarantined asymptotic people in the past that I’m aware of.

Had Trump not mismanaged all of this, it wouldn't behave differently.

If he would have followed established public health guidelines he would have won in a landslide.
Nope, no matter what he did the media would have said it was wrong.

Note how the governor with the most Wuhan deaths, Cumo, was given an Emmy award, I guess as there was a race for most deaths.

Just read that Williamson County just went from 5% positive to 5.38% positive this week. So officials changed our color code from Orange to Red level. That means "uncontrolled" spread. The government is super silly guys. Happy Days was canceled soon after it jumped the shark. Can we cancel government now?

I also saw a study showing that asymptomatic spread doesn't happen. Asymptomatic cases were tracked to see how many more cases could be linked to them. Very few. No direct link of the new cases to the asymptomatic cases. Just some people who had contact with asymptomatic people also got infections. They could have come from somewhere else. Conclusion of the study was don't worry about asymptomatic spread. Of course no major news outlet reported it.

If Trump would have followed established guidelines, he would have let normal life go on. If he would have protected freedom like that he may have in fact won.

It happens or the Chinese person wouldn’t have infected the Germans way back. Outlier? Possibly.

Speaking of the flu, why is no one getting it this year? Only Covid? I looked at the state of Texas and only something like 5 counties in Texas have confirmed flu A or B cases.

Humm, could this be the "corona spike"? Are all flu cases now being called covid?

Of course. The spikes are ********. Only lame brains think otherwise.

Vol, some are saying that COVID has pushed aside flu or somehow killed it.
A coworker of mine got west Nile and enrolled in a 2 year Baylor medicine study. He was told he would be better immune against all viruses moving forward.
