My wife told me last night that not only is the UT system getting an extra week off for spring break, but when the kids come back all classes will be canceled and switched to online classes. The second week off is prep for the teachers to get their classes switched over.

This should be interesting considering you have some profs who barely know how to use email...and with few IT staff to roam around, how do they propose those individuals come up to speed on the online classroom equivalent?

They're just being fed a bunch of ******** and don't have enough sense to realize this is the same garbage that the news has done under Trump the last three years. We are exponentially better off than the other First World nations. Do they ever ask themselves why there was none of this hysteria with H1N1 under Obama, which was even deadlier than this? No, they don't. That would cause them to actually think for themselves and that might overload their circuitry.

Probably will not see the media reminding anyone of this moment anytime soon but back in 2009, Barack Obama waited to declare the H1N1 a national emergency until after millions of Americans were infected with over 1,000 Americans dead. The swine flu was a pandemic by April 2009 but Obama waited 6 months until October to declare it a public health emergency. In addition, despite the fact it was known that the virus was coming into the US from Mexico, he refused to shut the border down.

By way of comparison, President Trump acted within 3 weeks and before there were any deaths in the US.

Pretty sure the Dow was somewhere around 18,000 when Trump got elected. Ended up a really bad day at 21,000. This after a really bad week. But if someone told me I would get a 17% gain over three years, I would say “alright, alright, alright.” Plus there will be a great buying opportunity once the American public realizes this is overblown hysteria.
