Since we are playing this game now, fify
No. But he would listen to the experts and not say stupid stuff. I’m sure armchair quarterbacking can find things he did poorly with swine or Ebola. That said he started up a pandemic arm of the NSC. Trump killed it in 2018.Oh so if Obama was president right now there would be zero cases in the US?
If it is overblown then why are the beds full? Hospitals don’t get paid for admitting people who don’t need it and they lose money if they keep them longer than medically necessary. Scares me that the beds are already full and we may throw this at them.Travel from Europe suspended 30 days
Great Britain I think is not included
IMO, way overblown. Hospital ERs are filled to the brim, hospital beds are hard to find in the Dallas area. Not many confirmed cases here I know of.
Manufacture chaos.

Good point Bubba. We know from years of experience how valuable a boatload of federal bureaucrats can be. The examples are endless.No. But he would listen to the experts and not say stupid stuff. Thanks. You say the kindest things.Good point Bubba. We know from years of experience how valuable a boatload of federal bureaucrats can be. The examples are endless.
Yes, it's a good thing you were wrong to vote for her, and the more intelligent members of the voters you refer to as "we" didn't elect her.Good thing we didn't elect her and she's not running for anything, huh?
Flu season. And that’s exactly right. Throwing unnecessary fear is dangerous. If it is overblown then why are the beds full? Once a person is exposed to the Wuhan Virus, once they get passed it are they immune from catching it again for like the flu for that season?
Looking at history, we know that a pandemic is going to come around at least once a decade. They were on the National Security Council. Surely that would help.I know it looks bad that an agency purportedly designed for a pandemic was axed but this goes to the heart of need and just in case. I am a financial planning manager and we insist on normalized budgets. We don't allow money for outliers. THIS IS AN OUTLIER. A bureaucracy that grows and grows because just in case becomes a constant emergency is what socialism and deficits are all about.
That being said, I have no idea if this agency would have made things better. I doubt it. The real story is the slow realization in life that this is a problem, you could die if you are old and have underlying medical problems and that catching it if you are young and otherwise healthy is not a death sentence but could be a big problem if you are hourly or in general have kids and everyone is stuck at home.
That agency would not have saved the stock market crash. The United States government has many resources. I wonder how much money is being spent on enabling illegal immigration which also exposes us to foreigners who have not been screened. But apparently that's a political sacred cow.

I think the Pandemic response group was to serve as an adviser on the NSC and a liaison to other countries, the WHO, the CDC, etc. to protect the national security interests of the US. Not a "government agency" processing anything. It's a little different than your unfortunate situation.I'm not doubting that resources available and on call would help. But we've heard about shovel-ready before. The hype machine about a federal agency's mission seems to far outpace it's actual ability to execute.
Just the other day my fiancee (who is a widow) sent in some required paperwork to the SSA so her son could receive his final two months of benefits as he will turn 18. She sent it in certified return receipt. The date stamped proof of receipt green card is in her hand. Guess what? They can't find the paperwork, meaning tough titties and suspended her payments!
I'm not kidding. I just question why the Left believes so much in government agencies. Yes, people are helped but it's ridiculous how bad they truly are and how politicized they are.
And no, we don't blame Trump. It is a bureaucratic matter that survives all elections.

They don’t care how well it works as long as people get equal results, which will be generally bad. They figure competent people will be forced to make it work when in reality there is no incentive to do so.
I was told this is a hoax and there would be no hospital bed capacity/city math.
I was told young people were more level headed and didn't believe everything CNN etc told them.
The flu is much more a threat than this virus. Why didn't we close schools, ban travel to Europe etc etc over the flu?
This morning the ER @ the hospital my father in law is in, was still pretty crowded. Not as much as the past 2 days but still crowded & half the people were 30 or younger. People are freaking out over this for no reason.
The Harris County Toll Road Authority says their toll booth operators will no longer accept coin or cash payments for tolls! Unbelievable! Couldn't their toll booth operators maybe just wear some nitrile gloves and go ahead and handle that dirty old money? I hope this doesn't become a trend.
More moronic behavior. If I was a toll road employee, I would worry the county will figure out I’m not needed. The Harris County Toll Road Authority says their toll booth operators will no longer accept coin or cash payments for tolls!
