So calling someone a Nazi makes someone a Nazi? Makes sense in MSM land.
Any reasonable person would see that sign at the IL march and realize she is comparing to what is happening with Pritzker's "Orders" to what the Nazis did. Only a true mental midget wouldn't be able to figure that out. So, that's why it was posted above the way it was.

Yep. That's right up there with "Pence and Trump accused Flynn of being a liar so Flynn can't be innocent" crap I've been seeing today. I'm surprised LH hasn't posted that **** too.

He's probably busy coming up with a response to tell me to fall in line with Pritzker and not be a ******* child. Because that's the best he can come up with being the internet tough guy and all...

There is a pretty famous per curiam SCOTUS case with the ACLU (of all people) defending the 1A rights of Nazis to march in Illinois
The population of Skokie at the time was over half Jewish
And the ACLU was an even higher % than that

Someone told me 20,000 tests today in Texas. Only 7% positive.

I would be happier if that number was 20 to 30%, we need to get everyone sick.

So the CDC website is telling lies?

You have to ask? If it comes from our government, you can bet it's filled with lies and half truths.

I actually feel like I'm living in Nazi Germany. This is what you get when you elect liberal people to office. They have an agenda to enslave you to their political machine. They live above the law, but will put you in jail for stepping out of line.

Now they are releasing murders to lock up surfers and rule breakers.

Can you say, free Barabbas to crucify Jesus.

We’ve been duped again. I hate Illinois Nazi dupes.

CLAIM: Pittsburgh protester waves sign stating Nazi slogan “Work Sets You Free.”

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. The image has been manipulated. The original photo posted by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on April 20 shows the protester holding a sign stating, “Free small business!” Although Nazi slogans were, in fact, used at a separate protest in Illinois.

THE FACTS: Several Twitter users posted the altered image along with photos of entrances to Nazi concentration and death camps where iron gates bear the words “Arbeit Macht Frei” or “Work Sets You Free.” One tweet featuring the fabricated image was posted on May 1 and had over 600 retweets.

Nice spectrum of defense of the false accusation from y’all. Creative.

I say that 25 year old idiot is a true Patriot. Pansy cop got him arrested for "assault". Poor baby got wet. Shouldn't be an ***.

First of all, we “liberal cop haters” don’t appreciate defending law enforcement officers of any stripe when they assault and murder unarmed citizens. I didn’t expect to come here to defend Ranger Rick for arresting a dude for assault, but here I am.

But to your point, please tell us, how was he being an ***? Was he behaving like an ***, talking like an ***, threatening like an ***?

The ranger reported he had been trying to disperse a crowd of people who were unlawfully smoking and drinking in the park, police say.

“Brandon’s intentional and reckless action could have caused the Ranger to strike his head on the dock as he was falling, and render himself unconscious in at least 3 feet of water where he could have drowned to death,” the affidavit said.

The person who took the cell phone video of the incident said they were glad the person got in trouble for pushing the park ranger.

“The park ranger was actually being really sweet and understanding before,” they said.

Geez, I actually agree with LH on something. People have no business assaulting an officer. Yes, it's just water but you can't put your hands on an officer.

When it comes down to it, you believe it is immoral to go to Lake Austin and hang out. You or he claims it was about smoking and drinking, but the video shows the officer telling people they are too close to one another. They aren't smoking or drinking. Plus it isn't illegal to smoke outdoors.

“Brandon’s intentional and reckless action could have caused the Ranger to strike his head on the dock as he was falling, and render himself unconscious in at least 3 feet of water where he could have drowned to death,” the affidavit said.

That is complete ********. The Policeman was pushed off the dock away from the dock. That is rank speculation. People commonly push others off docks as a joke or to have fun. This incident wasn't intended for fun but the saying the incident could have resulted in drowning is dishonest. This was a nothing issue where a prick policeman got what he deserved. He wasn't in any danger. Arrested that guy for "assault" is a lie and *****, *****-hurt move.

“The park ranger was actually being really sweet and understanding before,” they said.

The opinion of the person who took the video is irrelevant to determine anything. It is a dishonest method of reporting. The issue isn't the opinion of the "sweetheart" who took the video. It is based on what is really right or wrong.

I agree. Pushing policeman into Lake Austin is ugly behavior. But it isn't assault. There is no law requiring people to where masked or keep 6 feet away. There are suggestions and guidelines for safety. The policeman wasn't enforcing law. He was pushing his way into the sovereign decisions of citizens. Next time he should be more careful.

He didn't assault the officer. Pushing someone into a lake isn't assault. It isn't kind but it isn't assault either.

People are giving way too many excuses to the government on this. We have a 1st amendment right to assemble. We are supposedly a free country. That policeman was being a dick. The guy who pushed him into the lake was a dick. At most that is offsetting penalties.

Governors, mayors, etc can't just say anything and it be law. There has to be a limit to government edict based on the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution or some principle or we are living under a tyranny. Fear about a disease doesn't justify controlling people.

If it does then any government has a right to tell us what to do at any moment. Exposure to sunlight can cause cancer. Driving on busy roads is dangerous. Tick bites cause Lyme disease. Up to 80,000 people a year die of flu. If you believe the government is supposed to keep us safe from disease or accident then they have the authority to keep you in your house until you die for any reason they say. This has gone beyond reason.

None of those people at Lake Austin were guilty of any crime. I am not guilty of spreading disease until proven innocent. But all of you thing that way. Sheep are protected by their owners and then led to slaughter. Don't be a sheep.

Yes, it is an assault. In fact, because he did it to a cop, he could be charged with a felony - could be facing 2 to 10 years in the slammer.

It's weird when Garmel, LH, and I are on the same side, but you don't touch a law enforcement officer while he's in the line of duty.

And if he's trying to make some political or constitutional point, this is a stupid way to do it. The smart way is to challenge the law in court. All he has done is risk prison time for a pointless and stupid offense unrelated to the constitutionality and merits of the underlying law. He's not a patriot or a hero. He's a dumbass who assaulted an officer.

Smoking is illegal in Austin public places, including City parks, libraries, buses or within 15 feet of any pedestrian entrance. This includes bars and restaurants.

Put his *** in a county jail for 6 months. He was being cute and funny. He needs to learn a lesson. Never ever touch an officer regardless of the situation.

Yeah I agree with @Mr. Deez. Once you put your hands on an officer in a way that could even remotely be seen as aggressive, that’s going to have consequences, maybe even get you shot. Very dumb move.

I see no justification for anarchy in the name of patriotism. People have been shot and killed by police for less. We don't need these types of confrontations.

I think the argument is one of extremes; a complete lock-down versus going back to the way life was and accepting any ramp up in death as merely life. We need a transition. Yes, there are people desperate to make money for their families. But this virus is no joke. Why can't we all agree on a middle-ground?

Anyone like fishing?
Catch and release?
Calif has the human version
Man arrested 3 times in one day, released each time --
First time he was caught breaking into a car
An hour later was trespass - he was just walking across people's yards carrying a box full of stolen items
Third time (still the same day) he stole a car and was driving it down the road
He was given citations and released each time. Police did say if they had caught him trying to surf or paddelboard in the ocean, he would have gone straight to the electric chair (maybe they said that)
California man arrested 3 times in a day, given citations and released due coronavirus restrictions

The Gov of Calif ordered all beaches closed
The Mayor of Newport Beach left the beaches open saying Newsome lacked the legal authority to make such a demand
Here is his op-ed Gov. Newsom Puts Politics Over Data in California Shutdown | RealClearPolitics

" ..... However, 428 miles away in Sacramento and without consulting with a single Newport Beach official, Gov. Gavin Newsom decided to substitute his will for our judgment, shutting down the entire 42 miles of Orange County coastline, including Newport’s. He did this in part based upon widely disseminated and wildly misleading media photographs taken to give the false impression that Newport’s beaches were packed with people that were declining to use distancing. Local fire and police authorities reviewed this media depiction and agreed that it was misleading. What they “observed from land and by air was the vast majority of beach goers practicing social distancing.”

The fundamental question is whether Californians going to the beach is dangerous. A governor who shuts down beaches in the name of health and safety when open beaches do not actually threaten health or safety exceeds his Constitutional authority. The idea that Californians are in greater danger at the beach than they are when visiting Costco or Walmart, or for that matter, an open marijuana dispensary, is preposterous.

Children digging in the sand, teenagers surfing, and people reading a good book in a beach chair threatens the health and safety of no one. It is time for Gavin Newsom to stop pretending otherwise. Let cities and counties do their jobs and respond to the needs of their local populations. Let facts prevail over false media narratives. Keep the beaches open...."

This is exactly why I don't get along with libertarians well. Like liberals you guys live in a world of narratives instead of hard facts.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was forced to break her own quarantine advice to ....

Before looking, can you guess what life-threatening drama caused her to break quarantine?
She wanted a haircut
Her excuse was that she "takes her personal hygiene very seriously."

Another example of how Democrats believe they’re above you and entitled to things you are not. It is a two-tiered system. There are rules for you, and then there are rules for them. Stop voting for them
Coronavirus & Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Violates Her Own Quarantine Advice to Get a Haircut | National Review

Remember the Mayor of Chicago who broke quarantine to get her hair done? ("I’m a person who, I take my personal hygiene very seriously")
Now she says she will "arrest people who don't follow social distancing rules."
By the way, in the last 5 weeks, 294 people have been shot in Chicago and 55 killed (not including this weekend)
