Chris Partridge (Ole Miss - Co-DC) back to Michigan. It's unclear what he'll coach, but count on it being something on the Defensive side of the ball.

Charlie's gone ...

"Miami co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Charlie Strong is not expected to return to the Hurricanes for the 2023 season, according to 247Sports among multiple reports. Strong, 62, joined the Canes last offseason when coach Mario Cristobal was hired to replace Manny Diaz."

Steele to Alabama is an interesting situation. Will the Tide have to pay for the NCAA's office space and house rental across the street from Steele. Bucee's big carwash couldn't clean that guy up.

Strange hire but definite upgrade from O'Brine; but then the junior high coach at Murchison Middle School would be an upgrade from O'Brine.

Haven't seen this posted anywhere else, but Rod Wright is leaving Dade County for Kirby Drive. Hopefully for Rod, the new staff will get enough time to help him pad his resume.

I think he will get another chance in college. The list of good available HC's seems to get shorter every year.
I think you can add Johnny football to his college credits also. I guess that's a plus for his resume.

I forgot about JF, but then look at what happened to him (and Mayfield) in the pros. Murry is going down that same path.

Kitna has child porn charges dropped in plea deal

Plea deal today. I'm jumping to conclusions without knowing all the details but this sure seems like a case of a great legal defensive team bought with big dollars who circumvented justice with privilege. A young man with less resources is probably doing 2-10 and spending life as a registered sex offender.
An attorney friend of mine would say/has said that this is EXACTLY how American Criminal Justice works...when someone commits a crime they must pay. People who have $ pay with cash. Those who don't have $ pay with time.

Well, this one didn't take long. Firing alert!

Michigan State makes an early season move and sends Head Coach Mel Tucker packing--sexual harassment investigation (+ poor on-field performance...)

:msu:

"EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Suspended Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker said Tuesday that he is “disappointed — but not surprised” that the school intends to fire him for misconduct involving activist and rape survivor Brenda Tracy and suggested that “other motives are at play” in the school’s decision.

The university informed Tucker on Monday that he will be fired without compensation for misconduct involving Tracy, who said Tucker sexually harassed her during a phone call in April 2022. She later filed a complaint with the school’s Title IX office, which completed its investigation in July."

Some potential candidates to replace Mel Tucker:

1. Mike Elko - Duke :yes::yes::yes:

2. Tom Herman - Florida Atlantic :lmao:

3. Lance Leipold - Kansas :clap::clap::clap:

Elko is getting it done, and quickly, at Duke (basically Rice on the gridiron until recently). Elko also has recent coaching/coordinator experience at a cow college that is the perennial runner up/2nd best/little brother in their State. Same as Michigan State.

Leipold is a good, solid coach. And he's from rural Wisconsin, I think. So Michigan State might work. The Big 10 is also probably Leipold's ultimate coaching goal. This could be a very good fit.

Tom Herman....:confused::confused::confused:
