Coach Saban Retires

I'm not sold that Lanning is out of the picture. I am sure neither party wants to pay his buyout. With all Phil Knight's money and goofy-*** uniforms, that team is built in California, where Oregon games will have limited exposure with the demise of the PAC. Can Lanning keep recruiting at that high level after moving to the Big???

Lanning is going to be the bama hire, IMO.

Lanning is staying at Oregon
Sark is staying on the 40
Kiffin is staying at Ole Miss

This is a decision between:
Doboer (Wash)
Norvell (FSU) - Norvell would be scary AF at Bama!
Current OC at Bama (forgot his name)

Kinda surprised DeBoer wasn’t the likely replacement in the first place instead of Lanning. Dude has like 90% win record.

Seems to me that FSU coach is the “easiest “ quality coach to acquire for Bama because of all the crap flying around the FSU program.

Oregon, Washington, and ou are not prepared to compete for Championships in their new conferences. The Washington coach should think really hard about the Alabama job.

I cant take it anymore.
Can we now agree as a nation to stop using any reference of ‘ The Goat’? for any reason other than mentioning an actual animal.

Drives me nuts!

Saban. Bellecheck (sp) even Carroll being called The Goat in every report.

I think DeBoer is an excellent coach, but also
believe that he caught lightning in a bottle this year. Doubt he can consistently attract sufficient talent at Washington to frequently compete on a national level. It’s not him. It’s the location.

At Bama, he will have the best of both worlds.

Hoff,

I've really enjoyed your posts over the years and enjoyed meeting and visiting with you in DFW, but I would rather have Herman or Strong back than have Tommy Rees interview for a job on our staff.

Sabre,

NOTED! LOL! I think you might have mis-read…..or I’m being entrapped into some mysterious worm hole. I simply stated who I thought Bama would hire!

DaBoers, Norvell or Rees

Hoff,

I thought you were being facetious.

Saban has fought the $$$ over firing Rees mid-season With O'Brine & Rees back to back, it's a miracle Bama got any production.

Last team to beat Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa

After Nick Saban dies and enters the Pearly Gates, God takes him on a tour. He shows him a little two-bedroom house with a faded Alabama banner hanging from the front porch. "This is your house, coach," God says happily. “Most people don't get their own houses up here." Nick looks at the house, then turns around and looks at one sitting on top of a hill. It's a huge, beautiful two-story mansion with white and burnt orange marble columns and huge pastures on either side with huge Longhorn cattle grazing. Longhorn flags line both sides of the driveway and a huge Longhorn banner hangs between the marble columns. "Thanks for the house, God," Nick says. "But let me ask you a question. I get this little two-bedroom house with a faded banner and Sarkisian gets a mansion with Longhorns grazing and Longhorn banners and Longhorn flags flying all over the place. Why is that?" God looks at him seriously for a moment, then says, "Nick, that's not Sarkisian’s house. That's mine."
