Coach Saban Retires

It’s obvious people know nothing and just throwing out names.

HornFans news reporter guy4321 reports that guy4321 is a possible candidate to be the next head football coach at Alabama. The only sticking point is that he needs the role to be 100% remote from Austin, TX. The good news is that Tuscaloosa and Austin are in the same time zone so it shouldn't be a problem.

There used to be a serious poster around here who says Chad Morris should be the Bama coach. I mean, I'm sure that's what he would say. He was the best candidate for Texas, according to him...

Only serious posters need apply.

If the two guys that hired Nick have their way, it will be Lanning; if Nick has his it will be Kiffin. That said, there is some thought that putting someone between Saban & Kiffin might be the smarter move for Kiffin.

Bama coming after Sark scares me if only because he was really well liked there and I am not sure their top choices will be available so they may get further down the list. To me it really comes down to why leave a great place to go be in the shadow of Saban. Whoever replaces Saban will fail even if they succeed because they will be such a step down from what Saban did even if they win an NC. You dont want to be the coach that follows a legend you want to be the coach that follows the coach that follows the legend.

You want to put someone between Saban and Kiffin? How about someone already recognized as a great coach whose age would indicate he'll probably won't want to coach more than another 5 years. How does Lance Leipold sound? I wouldn't do it but I've heard worse ideas.
