Coach Prime

They're just getting spanked by a Real contender imo. Maybe Oregon is tier 2.

I mean this is their first loss. But now they know where they stand in the rebuild. A far cry from the really good teams.

Nobody dropped a sack of cement outside your house. The thud that rattled your windows was Coach Prime falling back to earth.

The media did that team (Colorado) a disservice. Anybody truly watching predicted this. Next week is going to be the same. Colorado will probably never be anything again in this new NIL/transfer portal/conference alignment thing...basically like they have always been.

Coach Prime will move on in about 2 years and that will be the end of it. Like most other coaches.

Glad Coach Prime got whupped. When his circus leaves Boulder all the alum and donors will look like bigger fools then they look now.

Agree 100%. Those kids were put on a pedestal that they didn’t ask for because of an ego-driven loud mouth who doesn’t know when it’s time for a little humility and sportsmanship. Never pass on a good opportunity to shut up.

Absolutely spot on. I don't particularly dislike Deion Sanders. He has a big personality, always has, and he uses it in furtherance of his own success and his team's. That's perfectly fine.

The problem was shown from the TV broadcast's first pre-game sentences in Ft Worth. It is the media latching on to a story and grossly overhyping it, blowing things wildly out of proportion. Trying to sell us on the greatness of "Coach Prime" and the new look Buffs. Milk that story for all it is worth, and then some. Sell some sunglasses, yeah! That's the ticket!!!

Does Deion's son have some QB skills? Absolutely. Is the Hunter kid special? Again, absolutely. But the team isn't a particularly good team. There is skill talent, but little to no depth. Hunter gets hurt and both sides of the ball suffer greatly. The line play is worse than ours even during the Charlie Strong experience. But nobody in the media either had the balls to say it, or they weren't allowed to go against the narrative.

Yes, the media did a gross disservice to the Buffaloes.

Watched several games yesterday and apparently the mandate across all broadcasters is every single kid is "one of the best in the country". Really. I know rg3 is nothing but one cliche after another but every single broadcast did the same thing with the exception of Herbstreit. Pretty lame what commentating has become.

I base my opinion regarding Sanders on things outside of the hype.
He’s a good man that has always focused on making kids into better men.
He doesn’t drink or get high( no judgement , just a point). Never has.
He pushes accountability away from football.
He doesn’t talk trash back even though other coaches do.
That video response regarding the kid who hurt a player that Sanders deeply cares for is classic Sanders.
I get the point regarding those who dont like him, but if you look under the cover and look at what he does…. We need more Sanders serving our youth.

Well, it's a natural progression when you think about it. Used to be there were maybe 5 or 6 college football games televised across the country each weekend. So to be the man calling one of those contests, you had to be pretty good at your job. Now that dozens and dozens of games are televised, you can be very mediocre and still land an assignment.

You made some great points. Even as a Cowboy Deion never talked trash against anyone. He did tout himself but he backed it up.
What he did do at CU was use a more than willing media . If you read what he said about the CSU player who hit Travis Hunter you understand he really cares about players.
I do not understand the hate for him.

Sanders said after the game that the Oregon game will be the worst as it gets. I guess he hasn't looked at his schedule. USC is up next for the Buffalos.

Yeah, Charlie Strong had some very emphatic commentary after his first loss too. For all the bluster, it never got much better.

Deion didn't say CU would win going forward He didn't say it would be good.
Only that it won't get worst.
Don't know if he meant effort or execution.
It will be interesting to see next few games.

I’m quite glad that CU beat Nebraska the other week. But CU is going to drop a bunch of games with their atrocious O-line. And the PAC may be the best conference in the land this year.

If CU wins 6 or 7 games, it is better than they have seen in a long time and still boosts recruiting efforts for those willing to WORK!
