Chick Fil A was packed this morning

In any case, I appreciate the liberals pushing these issues to the point of getting conservative people out of their comfort zones and motivated. I think the Tea Party has tremendous potential to restore some sanity to how our government operates. It is time for some healthy pruning.

I cringe when I hear people say it is okay for deviants (homosexuals) to marry or adopt children. So does most of our society.

Took the fam to CFA last night. 25 minute wait or so, even with dual drive through lanes. Best part were the 6 protestors across the street, one of which carried a sign advising us that "hate" is not a family value.

This liberal boycott of Chick-fil-a sucks! I can't go there anymore because the lines are too long!

Every action and reaction in this issue gets more idiotic.

Chic Fil A is the new Bunker Hill.

We live in Idiot World.

As far as I know, every Judeo-Christian and Islamic civilization in the last 2000 years has defined homosexuality as deviant behaviour. We're the first society to welcome it into the open or at least, some elements of our society welcome it into the open.

Not only welcome it, but demonize those who simply voice disapproval of same-sex marriage. While I firmly believe that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, I also reserve the right to remain true to the value system and moral foundation upon which I was raised. I'm able to productively work side-by-side with gays in an affable manner while still holding true to my core beliefs regarding the marriage issue. Apparently that is not enough these days. Political correctness dictates that I must openly welcome and approve of their lifestyle 100% or run the risk of being labeled a "bigot" or "homophobe." Those terms don't really bother me though because they are overused, misused, and cliched. They've lost their true meaning. The in-your-face attitude of the gay activists coupled their arrogance regarding expected endorsements of their lifestyle will serve to breed resentment.

Today the other side claim it's their turn to speak and will do so by protesting chick-fil-a. So they are using their freedom of speech to protest Dan Cathy's freedom of speech.

We are stuck with these morons in our society.

It is unfortunate that people use their ostensible "holy book" to justify and give credence to their bigotry.

But the good news is that Christian bigotry evolves over time. There will come a time when most of Christianity will accept gay unions, marriages, whatever you want to call it.

But why do the 3 Christian gods so hate gays? Would actual supreme beings really be that hot and bothered by this?

The KKK thinks the way they do for the same reason that many homophobes think they way they do: they are ignorant, afraid, and narrow-minded. They are locked in senseless tradition and lack the backbone to extricate themselves from their darkness. They mindlessly follow what they are told.

The real issue is one of accepting other people as legitimate and affording them the same civil, legal, insurance, inheritance, etc., benefits and obligations.

The religious typically bring into their argument such nebulous points as their gods invented marriage, or their gods prohibit gay marriage. These are also the same type who claim that their gods invented and imprinted morality upon mans' "soul". These people are not rational thinkers.

Let gays marry. Why all the fuss? And try to keep your 3 Christian gods out of the argument.

I35 is evidently lacking knowledge of past actions by CFA which made headlines; past actions which did not include any responses from mayors threatening to disallow franchise openings.

CFA can say what they wish. And the biblical-based homophobes can cheer wildly for them, be it on religious grounds or free speech grounds.

You actually are ignorant of the recent history surrounding CFA, aren't you?

Your attention span seems to be limited to what FOX News has reported on during the past week.

You can easily find this on the internet, you know. Try using this new-fangled thing called "Google".

But try the Pennsylvania Family Institute and Focus on the Family items.

It would help, I35, if you at least knew a little something about the topic being discussed, and not just what's transpired during the past week.

I like CFA sandwiches. I think CFA can publicly announce whatever they want. It won't stop me from going there. It won't cause me to go there more frequently.

But the issue, much like Romney's tax fiasco, is being muddled by those who don't wish to address the crux of the matter: why is it so difficult to treat people (here: gay adults) as just people. Let gays marry and be treated like straights. But as we have seen, there is still a sizable contingent who classify homosexuality as a deviant. There will always be people like that. And there will always be gays. I don't expect those groups to ever see eye-to-eye.

Cathy never claimed homos were deviants. Rather, he championed the traditional family unit. Nothing wrong with that. The left is grandstanding here. They are annoying.

Is there any evidence that anyone from this company mistreated a gay person?

Perham how is the kiss-in going?

I'm sure you're amused Per that you lured me into wasting 30 minues doing searches on "Google" of wrong doing by CFA. Well I did and I found nothing that wouldn't be abnormal that any company that large will have accusations of.

Let me ask you one question and would you please answer? What is more important issue (just say one or the other without avoiding)

a) One man in the private sector's belief on gay marriage or

b) three city leaders violating a person or company's 1st amendment rights?
