Chick Fil A was packed this morning

Yes, mwa.
I agree choices can be influenced by religious upbringing just as other life influences and experiences.
However, I would opine that people are not incapable of making life choices based solely on religious upbringing.
I would suggest that people without a religious upbringing can make the same choices offered by mwa and to say otherwise is assuming that people are incapable of determining their life and/or lifestyle.

So Ivan, explain to me when you "chose" to be sexually aroused by men instead of women, or vice-versa, whichever scenario fits your particular situation.

Or were you aroused by both? And "chose" men? Or women?

The indication is that the third choice is basically disregarded, whether it involves hetrosexuals or deviants. It would also seem you have never heard of anyone changing sexual preference, which would also be a choice. That would seem to cover all three choices.

Talk about ignorance, there is nothing in the world that says you are entitled to be with anyone, heter or homo sexual. It is not a right, it is a choice to be with someone. Who cares whether the person is the same sex or not, whose business is it? Don't put words in my mouth and there are no scientific studies saying that people are born one way or another, that is a fallacy and yes I would challenge you to provide proof.

A person chooses who they want to be with if that other person chooses them, it doesn't matter sex, creed, color or anything.

If you think you are entitled to be with someone you have another thing coming......it is two people's choice to be with each other, a government is not needed for them to be told that.....talk about bigots......

Yo Brah........there is nothing preventing any two people from signing over any legal rights to another person they so choose too. Two Men, two women can have a legally binding agreement giving them the same rights as any other couple in the country, brah.

As I have stated over and over again, it is not the governments business to be in the marriage game, that is something for one's church or religion or cult or group or whatever you want to call it.

The government should not be in the business of Marriage, they should be in the business of Unions and Unions alone.

If you would step out of your high and mighty opinion you would see that religious organizations are very protective of the term marriage, right or wrong, it is not something our government should legislate. Who you marry or what you marry is your business, what you attach yourself to legally, is something the local government should be involved in......

I saw that microsoft is one of the largest donors to Obama's campaign. I use a PC with . . dare I say it. . . Windows.
I sure hope I don't offend any Romney supporters, maybe I'll get transferred.

This kind of nonsense is absurd. The cop will probably retire after his lawsuit settles.

While I don't doubt the stupidity and all-around incohesiveness of the DPD, it sure doesn't sound like he "only brought a Chick-Fil-A sandwich" to work.

This is the first time I have ever heard a pro-gay person say that the issue is filling IRS taxes.

I personnally don't think there should be joint income taxes filed but that is another issue.

If the issue is filing taxes together it obvioulsy has nothing to do with marriage because, not sure of the issue but that is an issue with the rules and regulations of the IRS not "Rights" as a citizen.

Have the IRS change the regulations, it has nothing to do with their rights.

Again, in my opinion all taxes should be filed individually and not jointly, but that is another issue.

CFA was packed again today is there something else going on?

I loved Chick Fil A before and I love it now. I didn't agree with the gay bashing, but certainly felt the CEO was within his rights to support a Christian organization that somehow sees gayness as a lot more troubling than other areas of sin. I love that the organization leads with positive Christian messages, giving employees Sundays off. The folks working there seem happy, energetic competent and helpful. The chicken sandwiches and waffle fries are tasty and the ad campaigns are the most creative in the fast food industry.

I love Chick Fil A's food and service, but I'll admit I'm a lot more cynical about the company now. If the intent was truly to protect the sanctity of marriage and family rather than to stir up publicity and make money, then why the change? It makes me wonder if they're going to start giving money to pro-gay marriage groups to try to double up on business from people on the other side of the issue.

Mr. Deez,

They did say: “The WinShape Foundations is now taking a much closer look at the organizations it considers helping, and in that process will remain true to its stated philosophy of not supporting organizations with political agendas.”

So don't you think that will preclude them from making contributions to pro-gay marriage groups?

Had a chicken bisquit this morning. Will likely eat a little Ben and Jerry's ice cream late this afternoon. I totally disagree with Ben and Jerry's beliefs, but I think they have every right to have them.

Of course, I believe in free speech and freedom of religion.
