Likely would have punted into the end zone. So that would put them on the twenty instead of the forty.
But there was a chance horns would make the first down.
I think going for it was a good gamble.

I never expected them to have that many passing yards. They had a well designed short, quick passing, scrambling game plan but Texas killed them in the running game. Clemson is a good ball club but deficient in run defense and run offense. They try to outscore you and force mistakes.

We ran ball the unlike we’ve been doing lately. Everything is right about that. I was pointing out that Clemson did what we have been doing of late.
