(Htown- that poop I just posted was a joke)Sounds like Bo Davis AGREED with my assessment from a couple weeks ago. BTW, thanks for the numerous poop votes. You should check yourselves.

Yes! A buddy of mine at work always uses that line.If this turns the team around, even a little bit, Bo deserves a raise. Like Teddy KGB said in the movie Rounders.. "Pay thyat myan his money "
Thanks!!Best post I’ve seen in awhile.
Very well played
I understand the individual was not a starter nor a big contributor and has been summarily dismissed. Sark decided and the player's leadership council agreed. What I do have a gripe about is this video made it to the public. It is a major violation of team and locker room etiquette and cannot stand. Not to mention it's an embarrassment a player from this program thought it worthwhile to share with the public. To me, this explains a lot about what we've seen on the field.
To the individual or individuals responsible, I say good riddance. Hit the portal as soon as possible. It cannot happen soon enough.

I say thank you to the player who recorded this and sharingThis sort of coach reaction to post-loss tomfoolery is as old as football. Obviously, not all coaches respond in this manner, but on just about every team I've seen or been a part of, coaches tend to fall into the categories of good cops and bad cops. IMO, you need both. And when a certain level of sloppiness, disinterest, or flippancy start showing up, I would expect at least one of the bad cops to escalate.
In Texas' case, this is probably the latest episode and we happened to get a glimpse of it.
While I may not absolutely love this approach with respect to language, sometimes a little attention-getter is required. I'm going to give the coaches the benefit of the doubt that they know their kids, know the locker room well enough. Kid gloves and a soft touch have gotten us here. Now what?
Yeah, I have no problem with Coach Davis on this one. What I do have a gripe about is this video made it to the public. It is a major violation of team and locker room etiquette and cannot stand. You probably have it right. Either way, the outcome is a net positive for the team.I thought it was the other way around; Sark turned the decision over to the leadership council, and he agreed with their choice.
In the coaching bidness, we call it, “addition by subtraction.”
I would guess whoever it was had to be some kind of contributor, otherwise he wouldn’t be on the travel squad.. Just my guess..
Bucky said on the Horn this morning the player was said to have minimal playing time this year and was not much of a contributor at all.
You're taking the most pessimistic view possible. And that's OK.Kind of sounds like if he was a big contributor, maybe he would still be on the team.
I'm just saying that from the comments above, that is what it sounds like. Why even mention how much of a contributor the person is?You're taking the most pessimistic view possible. And that's OK.
Ah, okay, thanks.Well, the info I heard didn't come out of Sark's mouth. So the issue of mentioning how big a contributor he was didn't originate on the coaching staff, as far as I know.
I agree with that in principal. But as a practical matter, it isn't what happened.I see hic's point
IF it had been a big contributor and still got voted against by the team council that would send imo the right message. No One is more important than the team.
With the caveat that it was done to harm Sark and staff
If we're going to be practical, let's just go ahead and close the internet.I agree with that in principal. But as a practical matter, it isn't what happened.

Vol, you’re in trouble now. From now on, if you ever poop me, I’m going to find your wife and…Isn't that why we have wives? I thought the whole purpose of the internet was to escape reality and practicality....among a few select other things.
Not sure that I agree. This player unintentionally did the team and Longhorn Nation a huge favor, not to mention elevating Bo Davis to cult figure status. What I do have a gripe about is this video made it to the public.
40 in the Portal; 30 from the Portal = GainIf it really is 40, that would explain a whole hell of a lot.
