I agree. It's almost a home game for KS, and then throw in a ref's handicap system...it'll be tougher than tough.
 
Seems like Iowa State has peeked at the right time. Currently handing OU it's hat. Defending champs might just go all the way.

Would love to get them. Big girl will be tired to the point of passed out. Lol. But first we need to take care of Lee and KSU.
 
You've got to be kidding me oU. Really? "Conference champs" (allegedly) thanks to a horrible call and then this is how they bow out? I didn't see the game, but this is pathetic.

I was at the game and they were dreadful and may have just played their way out of hosting 1st and 2nd Rounds

Players who are really good tend to get the calls. And Lee IS a really good player.
 
KSU is basically Lee and a bunch of others. Lee is awesome - and she gets all the calls. Gaston did a fantastic job tonight guarding her. Gaston is simply one of my favs.
 
Oh my, the guards came through. Super, super game for Shay! Thought we were going to let this one slip away, but am very proud of the gals for fighting hard. On the negative side, Taylor didn't have a very impressive game, and she has another big to try to guard tomorrow. Crooks is tough, Taylor needs to be tougher.
 
Great team win. I loved watching Gaston today. She made so many big plays to keep possession for her team. And, yes, the guards stepped up, including Mwenentanda. And I thought Faye did well subbing in during the first half also.

I don’t agree. May have looked that way today but they have several very good guards. They won a lot of games without Lee this year. Again, loved seeing Dee Gaston today. She was way more than her box score stats.

Held Lee to 7 second-half points. Lee hooks and holds every time she posts up and nothing gets called. That's okay... we won anyway. She's a really good player... would love to have one like her in Burnt Orange.

I think our losing the lead there for a moment in the fourth quarter, then responding the way we did, will pay off for us. That was a huge gut check and we responded!
 
Awesome win!

I think this win secures no worse than one of the #2 seeds for Texas. It's an important win for sure as I'm also hoping it keeps us out of the #8 overall seed opposite South Carolina (even though they've seemed a bit mortal lately).

Good - not great. And similar to our guards they can’t shoot 3’s. A very different team with out Lee and not nearly as good (unlike Texas btw without Rori).
 
Does anyone know why we chose to wear our road burnt orange uniforms on Saturday versus Kansas? Found that very unusual as we've never even worn them at home.

I don’t know but curious as well. Perhaps they wanted something that contrasted more with that hideous powder blue Kansas wore (I personally had never seen KU in that color).
 
Have we ever had a player who shot free throws better than Booker, especially as a true freshman? She is currently 130-148 for a .878 percentage. While I miss Rori so much, Booker is who I would want at the free throw line down the stretch of a tight game. She's been incredible at the line.
 
Why did Vic not want to advance the ball after the timeouts at the end? If it was stolen it would be easier for K State to get a quick shot. I'm sure there is a reason, but it just seemed dangerous to me.
 
According to Craig Way on the radio, Vic was unhappy that the ball wasn't advanced, so it may have been a communication issue, or a dumbass referee issue.

There is a camera on him after the timeout and he's making the push motion towards the refs. Seems to me the communication issue is on Vic because if you wanted the ball advanced you'd be making the opposite motion or using your words. I was amazed we didn't advance the ball.
