No high school in the state has contributed more to UT than Westlake since its inception in 1969. Not even close.
I don't know about that. Duncanville sent Texas players like Cinietria Henderson, Tiffany Jackson, Mariana Mergerson, and Cobi Kennedy just to name a few.

Why can they upload the Iowa State postgame press conference quickly and we're still searching for the UT version?

Just sent this email to CDC:

Hi CDC,

Iowa State gets their post-game press conference up onto YouTube quickly. And we Texas fans are still hitting refresh and using Google to try to find the Texas post-game conference. What is going on? This year, there was a key game where the (home) press conference was never even uploaded! But yet we saw small clips from Danny Davis showing the press conference!

Your SID needs to be more pro-active!

Expecting reasonable behavior from anybody that envies you might be a Quixotic pursuit.

Anyone catch Vic's interview in the booth during halftime of the KSU/WVU game last night? He was asked about lack of 3-point shooting in the game until the 4th quarter, and he got annoyed quick. He said that media in Austin has obsessed about that, but this team wins without needing to shoot many of them. He said "we'll work on 3-point shooting in the summer; but, it's too late to change things this late in the season" or something close to that. The thing is, his team has had games this season where they have shot three's much more liberally and successfully; it's like he's playing things tighter down the stretch of the season, and to me that means the players are going to play tighter if he doesn't loosen up and show them he has confidence in their long-range shooting abilities.
After the way Vic seemed so bothered about questions regarding the team's lack of 3-point shots, who would have thought the first basket in last night's game would have been a 3-pointer by Holle? And, then a second 3-pointer by Booker with 5:00 left in the first quarter. One more 3-pointer by Booker with 1:00 left in the first quarter.

Second quarter saw our fourth 3-pointer made a Gonzales connected with about 6:30 left in the quarter. Shaylee does it again with about 30 seconds left until halftime.

Those five 3-pointers really helped get that separation early. I get that the higher percentage shots are those in the paint, but a 19-point lead would only have been a 14-point lead at half without it raining three's.

We were 7-11 from 3-point land, while ISU was 6-12. A 17-point win would only have been a 10-point win, and probably a foul and free throw shooting fest in the last few minutes to secure the win.

I hope Vic sees what a game-changer those 3-pointers can be (when you make them) !

As excited as I am about Horns victory, want to give a huge shout-out to Fennely, Ryan and Crooks. Crooks has so much personality, and game. I love her smile and intelligence and communication skills.

Before the season began, Vic brought: Madi, Rori, [DeYonna or Shaylee] and Shae to the Point Texas volleyball pre-game club. Sorry, I can't remember the 4th member that was there.

He spent time, of course, talking up Rori and then said, "Madi, she's going to be special y'all. You are going fall in love with her game."

And then there was open question time. I asked the question, "Coach, every year you have that one 3-point shooter. Who is that one this year?"

All the players, except Shae, shot their arms up and said, "Me! Me! Me!" and everyone laughed. Shae kept her arms down and just smiled and didn't say anything. Doesn't want the limelight, even though she's got the skills.

Yeah, there's no reason they shouldn't have uploaded that right away last night. I'm sure they had to catch their charter flight, but all they have to do is turn the camera off and upload the video at the end of the presser. They've also missed uploading a few of the midweek media availabilities this year as well.

Vic, "Anyone else have 30 wins?" South Carolina does. Making the case for a Number One seed. Creme says no, so I hope he is proven wrong.

Could you hear that classy Iowa St crowd boo Taylor when she went down on the broadcast? Just pathetic.

It sure felt good to see defeat and disgust in their angry faces at the end. BAM!

Well some of the cyclops fans did go all out with special BEAT TEXAS t-shirts! You think Texas is in their heads?

This isu fan never came into full frame, but she fumbled and stumbled attempting to stand to show the camera her shirt as the videographer panned down the steps focused on the crowd. Pretty clear what the shirt reads.

Wonder what third world country they would have shipped them to if isu or Horns hadn't made it.
Texas living in their heads for sure.:headbang:

Saw quite a few shirts and sweatshirts in Cyclone colors with “Horns Down” or Longhorn logo upside down or both! I’m talking grown adults ranging in 40’s to 70’s SPENT money on that.

Some of them look really spastic trying to do the horns down. I’m sure some of them woke up with carpal tunnel syndrome this morning. Let’s face it, the horns down sign is not a natural body movement! Lol

But it is the movement a Longhorn makes when they are about to charge and take you down!!!

Most of those ISU fans look and act like they wipe their butts with corn cobs. It's not the team's fault their fans are a bunch of a-holes... So I will root for the twister sisters in the NCAA tournament.

Karma is a ref helping you with a bogus travel call in the final seconds of the regular conference title game setting you up to meet a red-hot ISU team in the tournament. I’m not sure I would have wanted to meet ISU a day earlier.
:ousucks:

I know I'm supposed to just enjoy this victory, not look ahead but....I can't wait till Rori joins this group!
Don't mean to be a "Debbie Downer", but by the time Rori is back several members of "this group" will have transitioned on.

Nope. At this point, only Gonzales and Faye. Everyone else has indicated (so far) that they intend to stay. A couple down the bench might decide to portal out, but I think the only starter we will lose is Gonzalez who has aged out and has no choice.

So it will be this group minus Gonzales & Faye. 2 significant deletions.

:rolleyes1: Losing one starter is hardly significant and certainly not the definition of “several members”. If you thought I was being rude, my apologies. I assumed you would be happy to know that you were mistaken and Rori would actually be returning with almost all of her starters as well as the B12 6th Player (Gaston) which is much more inline with what Malcom posted.

So I just read the AP recap of the game that said several of the Longhorn players had been dealing with a stomach bug. I’m glad I did not know that ahead of time…I’m a worrier
