Big 12 Tournament

Ebo is just realizing how good she can be. Awesome game. Matharu really came in and shot lights out when we needed. We need to play better tomorrow to get to the championship game.
 
I don’t want Ebo to leave:( she is playing her best ball these past few months and has grown so much this season. Once again coach Aphil has done one heck of a job with Ebo. Now just imagine what Ebo could be next year with another off season of training with our staff. Overall very pleased with our play. It may have been close but Kstate stepped their game up in adversity. BRING ME IOWA STATE!!!
 
Yep, we're going to miss Ebo so bad. Matharu was really on. I really enjoyed Holly Warlick's commentary -- a view of the game from a real coach. She made so many good points.
 
Glad for the win. Wish we could have put them away earlier, but we let a 13 point lead late in the second quarter dwindle down to 5 points after an 8-0 KSU run.

We built a 16 point lead with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter, but couldn't hold it.

Yes, a win is a win. I was just hoping we could rest a few players some minutes (Rori played 35 minutes, and Joanne played 39 minutes).

Shay Holle has now gone scoreless in 2 games. I know it was senior day against OSU, and that's why she didn't start; she played 18 minutes and had 1 rebound. She started today and played 15 minutes with 2 rebounds and 1 block. Not good stats in 33 minutes; we need her to contribute offensively going forward.

Overall not a bad performance, but we can play much better and will need to! Free throws were excellent and turnovers were pretty good... shooting wasn't horrible but not great either. I thought we played exceptional defense. There were several mental mistakes made at inopportune moments that allowed KSU to keep clawing back and making the game closer than it should have been. We'll need to clean up those things to advance further. Solid individual games by Ebo, Matharu, and Harmon... we need the others to step up now as well.
 
That’s a KState team that will make the NCAA tournament and we led from the middle of the first quarter until the very end. In the end it was only a 7 point game but at times it felt very much like a blowout. We had four players in double digits, hit 7 threes and went 25-28 from the line. How was it a 7 point game? Lol. Any game where we can win shooting under 40% and the other team shoots over 50% is pretty amazing. Take the W and don’t question it. :hookem:
